    WOW, your video is awesome and I would like to thank you for taking the time to put it together for us crazy ADHD adults. I loom knitted a beautiful baby blanket with a 3D princess doll on the front, and I really wanted to line the back. I think that this way might just work perfect for me, so again thank you very much for sharing your know how it is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for this tutorial. I've made 2 baby blankets, and 2 toddler size blankets, as a some what beginner was not an easy task. I had the brilliant idea to sew fleece fabric on the back to make them more cozy. Well, I had to buy a machine having no idea how to use it😆. I hope I don't ruin them. Your video was helpful. Wish me luck! God bless!

    Love the tutorial! I was searching for a way to sew a liner to a baby blanket I crocheted. I would of never thought of using tissue paper but that makes so much sense. I was afraid to use my machine for fear the dog feet would catch the yarn! Thank you again!

I can't have it on the fastest speed but try to keep it a little more than the middle speed because I have a pup table and just use the start/stop buttons. But you're right the slowest speed is way too slow.

    instead of using stabilizer or tissue paper, could you knit or crochet a border like you did (maybe a couple rows), then when hemming the lining fabric, fold it over the border you made on the crochet? (essentially the border is sandwiched between the lining fabric.)

    Sande E: It is a Brother CS-6000i sewing machine. I own this machine and love it! It is the best sewing machine I have ever used. You can find it on Amazon for $149. You can either sew with or without the foot, it comes with a bunch of different feet, a quilting table, it can self thread, has a load of different stitches, the bobbin is drop-in, (which I love!), and just a whole bunch of other awesomeness!

  • @kimquinn7728

    @kimquinn7728

    Hi, I think I would join the blocks in the order needed and then line the back with either 1 or 2 pieces of yarn. A baby blanket may need only one piece. . A larger, such as a full or bigger may need 2 or 3. Also, if you are making blocks of different colors, you could find complementary fabrics to coordinate and line each individual block before hand arranging the blocks so the backs also make a pleasing pattern. I could be wrong, but, I think in that case I would hand stitch the blocks holding right sides together (crocheted sides) and over stitch from fabric to fabric. As you would slip stitch outer loop to outer loop if no fabric was used. I hope that's a help.

    I haven't found that to be a problem so far.. but you could tie little yarn pieces (like bows) onto it if you like.
