I know that part is a little confusing because of where the gathers stopped…you will understand it better when you are actually making the skirt.

I used 40 inches for the front and 40 inches for the back. It’s not a fixed number, just use the amount of fabric you think will be enough to make the gathers to the waist band.

The material is beautiful and the skirt is beautiful too but you should has indicate how much length and height you use.for the back how much inches did you use ?thanks

I stated it there, for the back I used my long skirt measurement which is 38 inches and for the front I used my short skirt measurement which is 16 inches. The measurements will vary depending on how tall the person your making the skirt for is.

I did talk about the measurements in the video…I didn’t want to be specific because my measurements are very small cos I’m petite. But for the width of the back and front i used about 40 inches each …

For the gathers how many inches in length did you use. I mean the long gathers. Did you times the length by 4 or by 3. I’m talking about what you said at 8:12 Nice tutorial as well

I didn’t mention that, bcos it just has to be really long,..I think I ended up using around 3 yards of that piece to go around.
