    One thing I’ve learned, for short skirmishes you don’t need water on your pc, it just adds weight and throws off the balance of you plate carrier, and if you want a back panel, it’s better to use a small pack over the pc so then if your alone you can access it

  • @ReconBrothers

    Really like the video! But you SHOULD need to adjust your carrier AFTER you attached your pouches. Why? Because your plates need to protect your vital organs and when adding weight, your plates/carrier might shift up and down and your vest will not fit perfect anymore. Anyway great video as away guys! Keep it up!

  • @ReconBrothers

    @ReconBrothers

    5 жыл бұрын

    Thanks! Regarding the fitment, I'd say you better make small adjustments if needed after setting it up rather than doing the full fitment after the entire assemble. Because it's way easier to do the fitting first and it's not like plate carriers have a lot of stretch that would set it differently with added weight. BTW most of the weight comes from the plates anyway. ✌️ | Viper out

    This specific one has been discontinued. This was the Tasmanian Tiger Plate Carrier MKIII. Now, you have the MKIV and QR LC (= laser-cut with ROC buckles). We do offer Tasmanian Tiger over our shop, but lately they have been very inconsistent with restock and deliveries from Vietnam where it is produced, so we have decided to not actively put it online for now. We can still get their products, but there's no guarantee when you will receive them. We also offer other EU made products which have lesser problems with their productions these days. You can see our entire brand assortment through: shop.reconbrothers.com/brands/ , If you want to look into what plate carriers we offer, you can take a look at: shop.reconbrothers.com/body/2nd-line-gear/ 🤙 I Viper

    Great work guys, love the quality production of your videos it really shows. I could have used this video 15 years a go or so. When Molle came out I had no idea and just stuck to my chest webbing that I was familiar with. It did work fine but lacked modularity. Do you have a plan for empty magazines? I used to always put mine back in the pouch upended, was an easy way to see loaded from empty. Your mag pouch grip plan really works, those elastic hook covers prevented me buying them. Glad you did the kit noise check, I see guys in videos, either Cleanshot or Silo it was rattling disastrously in a recent one. There should be no rattles when bouncing up and down. Wasnt sure what your black items were on your plate carrier, when you jumped it looked like black gloves? No matching green ones? Those headphones look deadly? I apologise if I've missed a video covering those, but covering your ears will miss that snapping twig or someone getting close behind. I've used headsets on only a few occasions, didnt like them, but mine only covered one ear so a better option I feel than both ears compromised. Your videos are first class and certainly addressing a need. 👍👍👍

  • @ReconBrothers

    @ReconBrothers

    5 жыл бұрын

    Thanks! We put our empty mags back in our pouches with a certain way to easily remember which one is empty. The pouch mod is something we see people start to use more and more. Yes, that noise check is a really important one which we found necessary, but I don't think Silo nor Cleanshot would even bother this, because of how they play. 😅The black items were gloves indeed, no haven't found those in green yet. But I have to get myself a replacement pair, because these already have holes in them. We haven't made a video about the headsets yet, but these are professional ones and that's were the differences come into place with what you've mentioned from your experience. These reduce noises that are too loud, but also enhance other noises to keep surrounding awareness. | Viper out

    Hi, I think it was the Tasmanian Tiger MKIII, but that one does not get made anymore. They now have the MKIV and the QR LC. TT is a good brand, however with the Corona pandemic their prices skyrocketed and I would suggest to either go for Direct Action or Templar's Gear. shop.reconbrothers.com/ (We're working on a new webshop so the above one is not complete anymore.) It's not too short for it being a plate carrier. A plate carrier is designed to protect the most vital organs, but it also still allows you to move. You can go for even bigger sized plate carriers, but your mobility will make a drop. It's a judgement you have to make yourself. They do have sizes, it depends on the manufacturer. I Viper

    It's not as restricted as you think. We are allowed to own firearms (and also ballistic protection, found out only recently), it's only more limited to your home & the range for static target shooting in Belgium. But Europe is a big place and we can cross borders easily to go and shoot in other countries to do more dynamic stuff and even advanced tactical lessons. We once started out with airsoft, but are more and more entering the professional market with our company, so it's logical we make steps towards firearms as well. It's just easier to get into airsoft here than getting into shooting lead. Plus the force-on-force experience you gain from airsoft is in our eyes much more valuable than just shooting a static target and that's something a lot of shooters don't even realize. But all this doesn't change a single fact on how you should setup your plate carrier. 😆 I Viper

    @@ReconBrothers Makes sense. I was wondering where it was you are from. In real situations, people aren't running around, jumping from obstacle to obstacle. Running around corners with a pistol instead of the rifle. In the Army, they strictly teach us to never opt for your pistol unless you absolutely have to. But I was not deployed with a pistol. Not once. Which is why you have to master the corners with the rifle, if you want to proceed and remain alive. Air soft looks very fun. But the transition from airsoft to real firearms is so different. Ballistics like trajectory, hold overs, bullet drop, windage, trigger manipulation/reset, rate of fire, compensation, recoil, clearing jams and failures with remedial and immediate action etc. One would die quick in a real battle, running around like a lot of other airsoft guy's do. I'm not implying that these are your tactics by any means but most of airsoft guy's just run and gun. And they wonder why they get taken out so quickly and bitch about it. We would also train with CCMC kits. You use your actual M4 or M16A4, whichever you're issued with and swap out the BCG and put in one that can only fire a specific cartridge. It is real brass that uses gunpowder like your standard round but the tip of it is only a plastic BB. So you get to train with your actual rifle, with real recoil while only 450fps. We actually got to shoot the hell out of one another with these while training. Good times. Well anyways, thanks for the reply. You have a page or anything other than yt to follow?

    I agree man, there's a pretty big gap between airsoft & firearm shooting (& don't forget the stress a gun battle adds when your life is on the line). But it's certainly a great way to start learning about guns, equipment & tactics. And it's also a good way to work your dry-fire drills if you use it correctly. You might even be surprised what sort of airsoft guns exist today. They're not all electric lawnmowers anymore these days. Gas blowback rifles (GBBRs) are the closest an airsoft gun can go these days to an actual firearm and shooting one might surprise you. We use such systems with professional instructors here to train CQB tactics since it's prohibited for civilians to do it with firearms. But I get your view on airsoft in general. On one side you indeed have the guys that run and gun like a headless chicken, but on the other side you also have guys thinking they're SF and never trained a single day in their lives. We have, let's say, a more healthy approach. We're simply using it as a tool to improve ourselves and move onto the next step, and yes sometimes a fun event or weekend happens as well to practice what we've learned on courses. We know about those kits where you alter the bolt and the ammo. It's pretty widely used in Poland for force-on-force courses. But it's usually restricted to either professional use or schools. We'll probably get do some courses with those as well some day. We have a FB & IG as well, all under the same name. And we also have a website & webshop which you can find through: reconbrothers.com/ 🤙
