Awesome video, it seems like most streamers don't use JACK so there's very little info out there, much appreciated! One thing that stumped me for a bit was JACK would not detect OBS after starting OBS. I solved this by running OBS as administrator.

I was able to start Jack server with Foscusrite ASIO by setting 2 to 10 delay in the Advanced panel. But none of my midi controllers or external synths (eg. Microfreak) were recognized. Works perfectly in Ubuntu (even in pre beta 23.10).

Cheers man, great video! but..................I can't get midi going on windows/jack. I see it's not available on your setup screen either. There's a lot of information about getting it going on Linux but can't find nothing for windows. You have an idea where I could find that information?

It seems like a very thorough presentation. When I got to configuring my DAW, Reaper, the graph would show Reaper until I opened a project. Then, it would disappear. Any suggestions?

Have you tried opening Reaper as Admin? Or tried opening Jack2 as Admin?

Could you give an example? I think it may be possible, but you’d have to make sure to open jack before you open any application.

great video! but, mine says could not connect to jack server as client. it starts, then says that error and i have to cancel it. i don't know what to do :(

What version of windows are you on?

OBS-Asio is installed and working (inside obs), but I do not get OBS showing up in the Graph window when it's running. Ableton shows up there just fine, so I know the server is working. Any Ideas?

Are you making sure that you open OBS after Jack2?

im getting noise/clipping. Reaper works fine. as soon as i start OBS it crackles depending on how much sound im generating. it all used to work fine, then one day started getting screwy. its def obs and not reaper. any help?

What audio interface do you have? Have you updated your interface's drivers? Similarly, have you updated OBS and/or Windows 11?

8:48 This JackRouter option isn't showing up for me, I followed each step of the tutorial carefully. I tried reinstalling JackRouter, restarted, but nothing happens. I'm using Windows 11, OBS version 29.1.3, and JackRouter version 1.9.22. I don't know what to do.

Did you also install OBS-ASIO? The JackRouter source will only pop-up within the ASIO Input Capture

@@brunofelixmusic Weird. I just tested it again on my own system, and I see JackRouter as an option. If I have some time tomorrow, join my discord and we can do a remote session so I can take a look at your configuration. I'm also running on Windows 11 / OBS 29.1.3 / JackRouter 1.9.22 / OBS ASIO 3.1.1

When a Start Jack audio, other sounds of my compter not working. Example, youtube. When started I'm not listen de youtube audio. Anybady with same problem?

Jack Audio shouldn’t affect the sounds on your system. It’s a virtual routing system. Do you still have your main audio interface as your default device within Windows?

I'm using linux ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS. Jack Audio shouldn’t affect the sounds on my system, but when stoped, I can listen a video in youtube, when started the video in youtube stay loading and the sound not working. My output device is Speaks - Built-in Audio.@@JBehrMusic

Great tutorial, but something is wrong in your system. Jack is not supposed to not make any latency at all as far as I'm aware.

That's true. I'm not sure why mine had a small latency, as it could've been due to my ASIO drivers or something else.
