I’ve been grinding Layton lakes using your hot spot map/ herd management strategy every day after work for the last two weeks and I finally got my first Diamond Whitetail today. I started to notice higher level spawns in my main zones but I was starting to think my game was bugged or something because I couldn’t get one over 242. Herd management worked though dude. I appreciate your informative COTW content because I had no idea how complex this game was when I started.

Just started the game two weeks ago this helped alot.... grind going very well so far.. I have lvl 3 diamonds stacked and have shot high gold piebalds and melas already :) it works ...

Do you set up your tents/tripods on individual zones or actual lakes that you want to hunt

A question that I have since I started my first grind is, what should be the ration of exterior and main zones for someone who still doesn't have enough money for the 16 tents?

Thanks for the tips! Is it possible to force out zones with tents. Maybe force exterior zones down and only have your 10 zones to work with? Also, I understand fast travel can spook animals what about staying over 50 yards from the zone and fast travel before drink time?

Herd management definitely works to spawn/harvest more high-scoring animals, including diamonds. Is there any proof that it also helps (aside from just harvesting a lot of animals, quickly) improve your odds of spawning a Great One?

200m away is the minimum for spawning, and I think 15 tents is the max on map

I’m getting zones with one cow(I’m going for moose GO)or 4 cows and 1 bull. Should I shoot the cows or is there another way to fix it?

RIGHT?! It's such a useful tool! I've heard of others doing it during the zone time but haven't tried it out yet!

What happens if you only are able to shoot one deer

Can I do this during whitetail drink time I have 27 zones and I’m running around the lakes on a 4 wheeler at 12 but I’m only finding moose zones. Would doing this during their drink time add hunting pressure and ruin it?

It would scare off the herds so the only way for you to pick up their tracks is if they were already drinking

If you have 50 zones and can only shoot 2 at each how do you shoot more than 100 deer?

i dont know about now but the mexico map rio whatever is the best map for white tail the drink locations ar positioned in a way to where you just hop from tent to tent and never really have to run far

I've been challenging myself lately, hunting Mississippi and putting tree stands in the thick parts of the woods. My goal is to get a diamond first but eventually a great one with a bow while not on any need zone

Yes I do! If any 3s spawn into your “exterior” zones then you can pop em off as they spawn in

What are the chances for diamonds rares great ones and super rares to spawn because IV been grinding for about I'd say 8 9 days I think also how do you know how many kills you're gun has?

Everything spawns in randomly. So your dimes are the most common to spawn, rares next, then great ones, and I’d say super rares are the most difficult because you’re banking on a rare to spawn + it being a dime. For counting, you’ll have to manually do that. I have a counter programmed to my stream deck so I just hit a button and it counts for me

I found all my zones and I’m not getting respawns. It’s been happening to all my friends on Xbox what do we do???

I'm on Xbox I have constant spawns but every couple rotations I'll have a single female in the zone. I'm still getting many diamonds I know the herd management is working just not the same for everyone across different systems

I do! My “coolest” id say is my very first deer and Turkey I ever killed! My first deer was an 11 point that scored 145 6/8 I shot when I was 7 and then my first turkey I shot that spring so I was 6 at the time an my dads friend worked for the outdoor channel and recorded the whole thing and it was on tv!

Nice! I usually just stick to the 1 hour but glad to know that they stay on the ground longer!

It’s cheaper to sleep in tents ......150 for tripods 250 for tents (spook radius)
