Hey thanks for the work and information. I just ordered a new 4 pot XL and I've been watching all the videos on growing with them. I've been growing indoors for 20+ years but I thought I'd try something different. I'd like to suggest you pre wet your medium / Coco before putting it in your pots. Not saturated but damp enough so the media will bond and not be dusty. it makes it easier to transplant into and watering afterwards, when I saw you dump your lose coco onto the dome all that light dry stuff will fall into the dome and clog your air lines.......anyways thanks just my 2 c

How do you go about getting it to that level of moisture? A spray bottle?
Was just discussing this with the wifey, were in wally world and everything I needed was there at the fish supplies to do a DIY build. 🌱 Buckets, pumps, lines, air stones, but Minus the Coco which is have to order offline. First thing is deciding which pH pen to upgrade to. 13$ one and the pool ph drops to check it isn't going to work so well moving from organics. 😂 Happy grows 🌱🌱🌱

Do you have discord? and personally I would either go with a four or five pot system in a 5x5. You wont have an issue filling out a 5x5 with that many pots.
hi, is the air dome pumping on all the time or only when the grow lights are on??
With the clay balls at the bottom how does any nutrient get to the Coco? The smart valve only fills to about half an inch and the clay balls are deeper than this and they don't wick. I'm imagining that roots will grow down into the liquid but all the Coco will be bone dry.
Copper side should be facing up according to the instructions from autopot...

And they should go in the tray not the pot
Off to the races!!! Good luck this run my friend. I've heard that when using the hydroton clay balls your right to rinse, or soak them in a 6.0 pH solution. Personally, I've used them with and without pre soak. With results. When you use the auto pot system, do you hand water for the first week, or do you transplant into a the pot with the reservoir already on?
@madhatterorganics9944

Ya ill completely drench the coco first, i did this with promix i was using a while ago and with my organic setup too. Typically it would last a about a week or so before i had to turn the system on but i could see using coco id have to drench it more then just once in that week.

@@madhatterorganics9944 the way I ran my set up was bid moistened the medium prior to transplant. Then turn it on. Top Watering the transplant as needed for the first week, or so. I'll be watching for future tips n✌️👍. Thanks for the videos
why does the PH of the irrigation solution increase?? At the beginning we made PH 5.9, poured it into the tank, started the autopot, BUT after 4 days I measure the PH near the valve and it’s already 6.9 PH!!! what is the reason for the change in vision and how to work with it?? 🌿🌿🌵🌵🍀
can you link a good air pump for 4 airdomes.

100% it’ll take away the risk of over or under watering that most people struggle with.

2 cups of seal soil, 1 cup work casting, 1/4 cup of gaia green either 4-4-4 or 2-8-4 depending what stage of growth you’re in and a 1/4 cup of bokashi bran. Then after aerating it for 24hrs i add in some green planet liquid weight which is just complex sugars, you can replace that with unsulphured molasses.
Interesting, those aren't the AutoPot system I'm familiar with. I'll be curious to see how the AirDome system works compared to the traditional AutoPot system!

Which one were you thinking of?
the cooper side up dude what are u doing?
I've never grown with autopots, but my instinct as a grower says that those plastic domes should be fully covered in hydroton rocks or the coca/soil is gonna seep in and block up those side paths. You wanna push that air out and distribute it even. From my DWC experience. Is it different with these?
What's up buddy

You should Cover the top of the Dome with pebbles. Otherwise you run the risk things to fall inside and clog it. Also If you dont Cover it, your medium will dry out in the Center of the pot and your plants will get in trouble
Use fabric pots, no need for clay balls or air domes.. been using auto pots for 8yrs.

@notme1345
2 жыл бұрын
@@user-fu8gq5xg5u1 I use the standard square pot system not the XL version.. I use square fabric pots that fit the trays, round ones will work as well if they fit in the trays and sit flat. I then fill 100% with 70/30 coco perlite NO clay balls at the bottom. I put the copper root control disk in the tray copper face up and put the fabric pot on top, you should check the trays once a week for any rouge roots near the aqua valve and just trim them with scissors. This method has gave me my best results in using the aquapot system and I've used all varieties of this system over 8yrs.
That is 100% NOT correct the copper sheet goes the the tray not the pot. In the pot is a black fabric sheet
