Thanks for the easy "How to setup" video. I found one recently in someone's junk, after 7 years old it still works really good and the 🔊 is pretty great.

@@TechSteve Except for how to set it up, since his is already set up! Mine has a 'Set up device' option, which will only let me choose to connect to my neighbours TV.. if I select speaker, it continues back to the start page as though I didn't do anything lol.

I have a google speaker and want to set KZread up as my default which I have done so below it it states it’s a free service available. I haven’t got a red subscription with KZread by the way. I asked my Google speaker to play a song from KZread and it still doesn’t play what should I do?

I only have a google chrome book by Toshiba, will Google home work with that?

Is there any alarming system to alert us for safety purpose?

How long we need to charge?

Can you do the setup process (downloading and installing the app) using a computer. My elderly parents are thinking of buying this but don't have a tablet or a smart phone, just a desktop PC.

+LazarusStirs I’m pretty sure you need a phone or tablet. If you have a device you can set it up for them or you go with the amazon Alexa instead because you can setup with any computer attached to WiFi. You can also go to alexa.amazon.com from Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Internet Explorer (10 or higher) on your Wi-Fi enabled computer. Options

You can install Bluestacks which is a Android Emulator. Install the google home app on that and ur ready to go!

Hi, Steve. Thank you for the video. However I got into a little trouble. When I was setting up my Google home, I was playing your video and your voice activated my google home voice set up. There's no google home tutorial steps appear on my phone like in your video. Before I know what happened, it shows all completed. I don't know how to set up my own voice now. I try many setting on google home account, but it seems it doesn't have this option. "More setting" option doesn't work. Please help...

Just say ok google call me then give it your name. You can retrain as well. Go to the app, open more settings, press voice match and then retrain again.

You have to put in pairing mode, I think you hold down the top until you see orange lights. I haven’t setup one in a long time

Work accounts normally live on a Microsoft Exchange server, you would have to export the list into a csv file and import back into your phone to the main contact list.

Check a different outlet, you may have a defective unit if it still doesn't power up

That can't be done; only Chromecast speakers can be connected for output - it's Google's way to keep you in their ecosystem, i.e. make money!

That's only using the Home as you would any other Bluetooth speaker, that is use the Home for input, NOT output to other bluetooth speakers.

I tried to play music on my Google home like Pandora and it says it would not play music it keeps on saying something went wrong

It only needs your smart phone to install the information then it’s a stand alone device but it can send KZread videos and more to a tv with a chrome cast.

what does broke have to do with the question I was asking because we were traveling and my teenager wanted to use it in the backseat of the car using both of our phones in which you can do using two phones WiFi but thanks for your reply stay blessed!!!

I downloaded the app from one phone and shared the device and it worked just fine while traveling using both phones I can download a video and show you it works

YES YOU CAN! Turn on our cell phone's hotspot and add that wifi signal to your Google Home through the app. Note that you will need to access the GH app via another device, or at least that is what my research has shown. i have no idea why people have being telling you "no" - all you're doing is using the wifi signal being broadcast from your phone as opposed to the one being broadcast from your home router.

Go set it up spmewhere else first because the phone needs to be put into direct wifi mode which wont allow you to hotspot during that time. Then after that you can change the wifi on the Home app.

Seems Google home will only work on a 5Ghz network. Tried to make it work on a 2Ghz network but couldn't. So is it true Google Home only works on a 5Ghz Network?

You can't set up Google home without a valid internet connection period. Let's get that out of the way.

One of these days you people will stop making explosive banging noises just to entertain yourseves. I've got sick of turning the volume control up and down at the start of these videos.
