THANKS! This helped a lot cause for the last 6 months or so I've been looking for a way to do the best film footage to film my PS3 and I didn't know what I needed and now I know how to! I think you should get more likes and views if someone isn't sure I'd defiantly recommend this tutorial. I also was searching how to do this the other day but, what I need costs £100 plus a cable for £20 so this was a whole load better!

Do I have to connect the Splitters to where the main source of the TV cables are located? NOTE: I have Samsung HDTV 1080p bought from 2009, and the TV cables are connected behind it.

Do I have to buy another double av cable or do I buy another composite cable that usually comes with the ps3?

I just ordered an easy cap to record some game play and i am wondering what is the next best capture card that will record HD?

question: Since the PS3 (And maybe Xbox 360 idk) has the double output options for Video and audio, can you plug the HDMI Cable into the TV from the PS3 and then the AV Cables from the back of the PS3 into the EZCap(EasyCap) so you don't need the splitters and you can still have the HD Video on your TV?

I've been working on this all damn morning. watched your video a few times to see if there's anything I missed. when i go into the display settings on ps3 and switch it to composite/ s video the screen goes black which means it's not recognizing the Easier CAP or my Easy CAP... any suggestions?

you need to switch your tv to composite as its probably still on hdmi

Hi, thank you for the tutorial. However, the link for the Easycap doesn't work. Is there another Easycap to purchase? I live in the UK and only have Amazon. I have already searched many of Easycap devices but I'm not sure which one would work for my PS3 and Windows 7 because of the reviews. Please respond, much appreciation.

its hard to say as I have never tried that, I would not know try it and then if it doesn't work out then just get the rest as it isn't too much to pay

Are there ant particular drivers I need to install for power directors? For some reason the easy cap drivers won't install

yes I guess you can do that but I prefer having it on the tv while recording as a better preference, it sometimes has a delay on the pc monitor

A couple of questions mate, can you run the PS3 with a HDMI cable instead of AV and will this reduce the items/wires needed and also is there a way to record using the Easy Capture on PS4? I know it is easy to record on PS4 but it does not allow you to record whilst in 'Share Play' mode and I thought this might be a way around that.

powerdirector is a video editing program and yes you will need to install drivers that come with the cd with the easy cap

what about if you dont have a av thing can you use hdmi
