I use a similar setup for basketball and baseball. The only two things I'd add are when you'r on a deadline for submitting the photos, it can be a real drag looking at the images from the remote's card to see if you got any keepers. To speed that up and not waste shots on the remote, I have attached (taped) the PW transmitter to my monopod or even set up a button to trigger it manually so I can still shoot with one camera and trigger the remote simultaneously. Sometimes it's fun to see both angles at once. Thanks for the video.

That's a good idea. I use it in hand fairly often, hadn't thought to attach it to the monopod

Thanks "Past" and "Present" Rob 😁 for the video. In most games you see loads of remote cameras by the goal post, 1) How you deal with get the right spot for you? 2) Have you ever had any issues with other sport photographers at a game? If you did, how did you deal with it? We know the photography world can be a bit over competitive and sometimes toxic. Awesome content as usual 👌.

Yeah sometimes there are quite a lot. You just have to try and work together to get a good spot. It's kind of first one there gets the choice of spot. I've not any issues with other photographers no, yes it's competitive sometimes but I'm not one to spend anytime on squabbles for no reason.

Hi Rob, thanks to your excellent video I have tried a goalcam on a couple of recent occasions and have been happy with the results. However, could you (or any of your excellent followers), clarify the use of AUTO ISO on the goalcam itself? Should I set the AF-Area Mode on the goalcam (I use a Nikon D500) to d25, Group or AUTO - or am I missing something and it doesn't matter?

Soccer (as we call it) is just starting with a spring season so I watched your tutorial again. Thank you, and a question - why not use Auto-ISO on your 1Dx and avoid necessary changes due to lighting variance such as clouds, sunset, artificial lighting coming on, etc. ?

Many photographers & RS are not aware of the ATG TTL/trigger that are built-in on ATG/Canon/Yongnuo. You DO NOT need PW (overpriced/dated products). An ATG transmitter or flash on camera (holding camera), 2,3, to 22 cameras with ATG flashes on parked cameras. Once you pressed the holding camera those other will shutter remotely by wirelessly. ATG's TTL/trigger are in ATG's ATG, Canon 600EX-RT & 600EX-II-RT & EL-1 and Yongnuo 600EX-RT II

Hi Rob I was just wondering. I shoot local soccer and the pocket wizards are quite expensive. I'm looking at the plus x or plus 3. Do the plus x do the sane as plus 3 as in, mount one plus x to one camera and the other to another camera elsewhere. I have only seen them used with flashes but I want to trigger one camera when I take a photo with another. I don't want to do it by just pressing a button. I want to fire both cameras when I'm using one 👍

Just taken delivery of a couple of +iiie wizards and connected as you describe here Rob. Works fine. The Pocket Wizard manual suggests I should also use a cable from the camera to the wizard at the Transmit end as well. Supposedly gives a quicker response time. Have you ever found the need to do that or just use the transmit in the hot shoe?

I hope nobody ever has as much trouble as I did with radio interference. To make the triggers work around here, I need another pocket wizard in repeater mode and I need to mount the receiving pocket wizard to a small stand so it is 3 feet off the ground. Of course I learned this by shooting multiple games where the remote camera didn't fire.
