I also knew “ I got it in whoa.” How funny, and yes on the site I could on find clothes and accessories. I was wondering about the size of the mesh. I thought Louisiana was 1” mesh, 30” wide, but I’m just starting into this on the recreational side.

question you said move the net up if fishstart to die. get them in good water. is there a season to this to figure that out like do you fish higher in summer lower in winer

When the water heats up the deep water gets bad so If fish start to die just bring your nets up closer to the surface. I don't move them up until the fish start to die

We use a 4 seam tapper fish net uses a 2 seam flat that doesn't catch as good but will work

1⅛ is standard size but can make any size

It will catch as long as the water doesn't move to fast but will catch better when the net is set where the flue is down stream

Biggest thing is to get it in the water and move it around. Fish move and u have to find them. Right now they are very shallow but I have several nets in shallow and deep.

Not really but it will help if it's a slow current. If it's too much it won't do any good

The net, Google "wire catfish trap" or "wire catfish net" The bait, he said was powerbait, which I'm guessing they mean powerbait brand catfish bait.., But for a hoop net or wire net, if you're not blind setting and using bait (I've always heard you use bait for catching a bunch of small fish, like channel cat, but blind set you'll catch one big fish, like a big flathead, because they go up in there looking for somewhere to nest But I've always just went to the bait shop and got a bucket of what they call slat box cheese,, which no usually sell in 2.5, and 5 gallon buckets, and much cheaper than a small bucket of dip bait or whatever, I mean the price of a 2.5 gallon bucket may cost about what two of the little pint sized dip/dough baits cost,,, and if you're running slat boxes or nets it's a lot better, because you'll get many baitings out of it, while the commercial stuff, you'll need one large or two of the smaller ones for one setting,,, And all you do is get an old pantyhose or stocking, and pour about a one or two fist sized amount inside and then tie a knot in the end. And you can use the entire stocking for several dates acts by cutting it in sections and just tied not in each end of each section that you make which obviously you would start with the toe end that's cl0sed on one side, and just tie a knot in the top after you bait it, but the rest of it, just tie a knot in both ends, one in the bottom before you insert the bait, then another in the other side afterward

Summer u need the check 24-48 hours. they might start to die if too many go in the net

Been fishing lakes and big creeks in north west la. Have caught alot more here fishing vertical like hes doing than i have horizontal on bottom. Ive also been told id catch more fish using cheese in a bait cloth than i will with these power blocks. For now ive only used the power blocks.

With the net closed on both ends how do the fish get in?

Louisiana net and twine in Lafayette is who I use for my bait and nets. Its ran by the same people from Nets and more (Fish net company) in Jonesville. The guy in Lafayette has everything you need and very nice/ helpful. Depending on how much you want he will meet people in Baton Rouge sometimes. Me and my father in law run wire nets in the spring and get our stuff from him.

How you make bait

It's not the "typical people" that come through and steal your fish. It's the no count son of a guns that will steal your fish. And thankfully they are few.

Where is this Honey Hole place you talk about in this video?

For catfish you need the throat of the trap horizontel for gamefish you need the throat of the trap vertical

Too hard to hide those wire nets in Texas. I use the regular hoop net with a piece of EMT or bamboo, or just a regular stick down each side to set the net. The rest is the same outcome. I'm not an outlaw, i just have outlaw ways. lol

How's these harder to hide than a regular hoop net? If anything theyd be easier to hide in the water because they're smaller Are you talkin about having them in your truck and the boat? Which I hear you there not necessarily always an outlaw but you don't like everybody knowing your business and all your secrets to catching fish

In Louisiana a 11 inch fish is legal and the best size to eat in my opinion but most fish that I catch is over 13 inches

Was not over night at all. Lies. I've fished long enough to know that. Also used that bait and it's crap.

I can’t find the wire trap

The Abbott and Costello routine is weak. The info is GOOD, the film work and editing is also good. Stop with the over acting like fools and just be people telling us, the audience, something interesting about your hobby. I dont for a minute think you are ignorant people, so please, dont act like that for the sake of the camera. You are BETTER than that.

Son that wasn't a 100lbs in that net lol you can tell that to someone that doesn't know better lol all fisherman are lyers
