How To Set Up Your Losi Tenacity DB Pro For 3S LiPo Batteries.

This video shows you how to set your Losi Tenacity DB Pro up to handle standard size 3S LiPo Batteries. There are some slim 3S batteries that may not require this change, but most surface 3S batteries will require it. I was wishing it was velcro to go back and forth, but lets be honest...I'm only going to run 3s batteries and this is less hassle then velcro can be at times. So I take back my desire to change this. :)
I did a terrible job explaining why the motor will over heat. LoL. Basically it's over geared and will heat up the motor on long run times. Because I want to bash this, I plan to run as long as the battery will give me and don't want to worry about overheating. That's why I geared down. I'm not looking for the fast truck over short bursts. I want long run time with enough power for fun.

@@williamperri3437 oh I hear you! Each time a new rc comes out I say oh well I can always sell this one or that one but never get rid of them lol. I wanted to 4s outcast too but the reason I didn't is cause I thought for a extra 75$-150$ you can get the big boy 6s beast. And for that little bit extra you get much more in my opinion, bigger truck, alot more beefier metal parts, nicer shocks, metal driveshafts. I wish the 4s models were more around 50$ less at around 350$..... Thoughts?

@@williamperri3437 Yeah I definitely agree on the shocks. I put some hot racing ones on my granite and I plan to put the 6s typhon shocks on my 3s. But yeah that makes sense about bashing on concrete at the skate park. Plus another thing I like is you can wash it down and not worry about alot of the metal rusting up. I've seen alot of used 6s trucks have alot of rust but then again they might not blow it down good and lube it up after washing it.

  • @cwatson42785

@@williamperri3437 Yeah the hot racing works good. You need bigger ones in the rear than the front. If you decide to get some I can give you the part #s or the measurements of the ones you need. They definitely make a difference. I also can give you the info on some orings you can get from lowes that are a little bigger and help solve the stock shock leaking problem. Instead of being inside the shock body they are a little bigger so when you tighten it up it seals it a little better. If you ever need that info just let me know! 👊

jdpasl You can do if they’re cheaper ? I’d personally look for something more useful for other stuff too? I had an old banger 14v Chinese cheap cordless drill that needs charging one day before you intend to use it . I found with my new one and the old one that torque setting one is about how tight you’d make it by hand anyway in some cases you can use torque setting two, it just gets to a certain tightness and clicks it doesn’t tighten anymore . But for motor pinion is always use hand tools . But unscrewing Diff housing etc from under the chassis it’s a time saver .
