** Satisfactory **
Satisfactory is a factory simulation game created by Swedish video game developer Coffee Stain Studios. It is a 3D first-person open world exploration and factory building game. The player, a pioneer, is dropped onto an alien planet with a handful of tools and must harvest the planet's natural resources to construct increasingly complex factories for automating all resource needs. The initial goal is to build a space elevator and begin supplying the company the player works for (FICSIT Inc.) with increasingly numerous and complex components for their unknown purposes.

So did you learn something about Trains? However I did state, the arrow is the Exit, it's actually not it's the direction the train enters. Also Path Signals plus more will get its own video as i would like this to be a stepping stone for the next Train Video.

Definitely one of the better explanation vids out there. Question though: If I have a single track around the entire map, with multiple stations, does one block signal placed at a station mean that the entire line around the map is now one block? And that I would have to put block signals at more stations if i wanted to have more than one train?

Thanks friend. I've watched other people's videos on trains, but you explained the basics that a lot of the others seem to have assumed I had already figured out. I am almost to trains in my save, and can now plan better because of your good presentation of the basics. =)

Thank you for sharing your train knowledge! Not many people in tutorials note that the arrow direction on the station is important and I didn't know this in my early SF days so it's good to see. Also loved the explanation for the block signals and how it splits things into sections (which I hadn't quite understood before!)

Even though I figured out a good amount of Trains there were some great tips here. The double conveyor at your station also helps it load/unload faster, which might matter if the time between trains isn't long enough, and the second train can't unload all of it's cargo.

I think this is the video I needed to understand what step I need to take now that I've unlocked trains. But, I want to run one rail for the long distance coverage, and have each station be a cul-de-sac where the train turns around and goes back onto the main route. I believe I have the knowledge gleaned from this video to do it. Thank you.

Now after watching this video I might actually start my train which has been idle since 2021, lol. Well I did recently get back into the game. It is much simpler than I thought, so I might test it out for myself instead of spending 800ish materials per belt that cover very long distances.

i havent done trains yet in Satisfactory , but i have played alot with trains in Factorio. The other signals are to optimise things like crossings and merges. but basically with the block signals alone you could get a train network to work , just make sure that you make lots of sections as many as possible , and that the sections are not shorter then 1 train except for sections where you dont want trains to stop and wait such as in the middle of a intersection or merger , there you make the section small so a train will wait in front of it or after it. in Factorio you use chain signal infront of intersection then make sure the section is too small for train to stop on the intersection and then blocksign after, im not sure exactly why or what the chain signal actually means

If a train brings a half full freight car to a freight station set to load, will the freight station fill up the half full freight car with items? or will the freight station only load items onto freight cars if they are empty? Sorry for my bad englisch.

  • @joecoleman2532

ONE question I have about the train station, if I have three fright platforms daisy chained, they all fill up together, shouldn't they empty out the same way, also if one platform is loaded with two or more different items, will they only load or unload the item set to the train timetable?? I know I said one question, but your video opened the flood gates in my brain! if a 6 wagon train pulls into a three platform station, will only the front three wagons get unloaded or would it pull up and unload the next three?? so many questions, so little time! great video by the way, answers lots of questions, but makes me think of more!! thanks tons!!

Good tutorial but something important a bit more advanced is missing im my opinion. There are so many options to configure your train stops. Like filters for items. I don't see any tutorials about this atm. But I like to see your content 👍

I dont think there is a good way to do item filtering yet, since if you uses smart or programmble spliter, you will have to sink the overflow items.

Why do you confuse the issue by referring to "Blocks" of track as `heria`(area) or section, or its by its colour, or a line, or its colour+ line ( `red line`), or `zone`.????

I hate everything about train signals in this game. they dont make sense. the errors were written by someone who's a troll. the color system is useless for long lines. overall its trash. utter trash.
