Excellent video. Even though I have the original XP, I learned a lot. One major difference ~ the original XP tire setting is fixed at 22. It can’t be changed. Too bad since it’s inaccurate, and I believe bumping it up to 24 or 24.5 would make speed and distance more accurate.

Hi, couple of comments based on my experience with the two XP2.0st bikes we bought last Christmas. (1) The single most important thing to improve these bikes is installing an 11-34 freewheel for added capability at both the low and high end of speeds. I discovered that the derailleur settings stayed the same, except for turning the "B screw" clockwise a turn or so to accommodate the larger first gear. Chain length fine. (2) When adjusting a setting on the LCD screen it is not necessary to manually do the "+/-" thing. The computer will automatically lock in the new setting and get out of the settings mode after about 5 seconds. Likewise, it is not necessary to turn off and then back on the LCD to lock in the new setting. (3) When the LCD times out you will lose your trip meter value. And the system draws so little power from the big battery I just set it to 60 (minutes) so it stays on for my typical trip uses. (4) In calibrating with a GPS speedometer I've found a value of about 24.5 makes the Lectric speedometer pretty accurate. I know, it doesn't seem to make any sense because that's not the tire size. I think there are other internal calibrations that the factory made such that "tire size" is inaccurate. No big deal. Finally, I am not at all concerned with top speeds. Keep in mind that in Europe they are limited to 15mph. I've personally concluded that 10-15mph is plenty good for my needs when puttering around suburban roads and in town. 28mph is tempting fate around cars, pedestrians, and opening car doors. It's a bicycle, not a motorcycle.

Thanks for the video. It’s very helpful, as I just received my XP 2.0. I really like it, but one thing that is a bit disappointing is that when using pedal assist 1 I don’t seem to be able to ride less than 7 mph. It would be nice if I could just tool around a bit slower while using pedal assist. It seems like in order to go slower I have to just pedal it like a normal bike.

Especially P10, 11 and 12 I had no idea what to do with those so thank you very much. Also the cruise control? I had no idea it existed. Gotta try it tomorrow. The only explanation I missed was P22 (Power Profile Setting, but I don't have a clue what it does and how to tweak it), but it is possible your XP doesn't have it. Will keep googling.

  • @PedalWithPower

Hi again Chris. Maybe there's another solution to this question but I wondered if there is a way to fine-tune the pedal assist speed? For example my daughter and I weigh completely different, so we both want to be in pedal assist 3 for various reasons but she tends to go faster and pedal assist 2, due to weighing half of my weight. In other words I tend to go about 11 mph comfortably in pedal assist to when she goes about 12 and a half mph. I was just wondering if there was a way to fine tune the pedal assist speed a little bit. Thanks again for your great videos!

It’s heavy, it has hand brakes and gears (I grew up in New Orleans with a 24 inch coaster bike) and I just cannot jump off to catch my balance if i do become unsteady. I’ve ordered the new Lite model and was wondering if you have any tips and tricks for that model or do some of the tips and tricks for the XP 2.0 also apply to the Lite? Can the handle bar be turned around if needed? Does the display have all the same settings? I love your videos. Please keep them up.

Shhh. Yes👍 BUT, it will throw off your mileage, odometer and trip meters. So you can do this, but I like having accurate readings. I have a video on how you can improve your top speed without tricking your bike - kzread.info/dash/bejne/i4GX2dCcfarKj9o.html

My husband and I just received our Lectric XP 2.0 ebikes. The white version for me and the black version for him. There is one setting that I would like to change, it is the 08P. We are only able to select a maximum speed of 20 mph or 28 mph. I would like to set my maximum speed to 15 mph. We are unable to do so. It appears that it is only set to toggle between 20 and 28 mph. Possibly done by the manufacture of the controller per Lectric ebike's technical team's advice. Possibly someone knows of a possible work-a-round. Other than this issue we are really enjoying our new XP 2.0's.

If you want to know. I found out the battery is not giving enough power! That is why top speed is 25 mph. 10.5 amps does not give enough discharge power to the motor. If the controller is 25 amps with a 750 watts motor. You will need a 48 volt 30 amp discharge rate witch means you need to get a 14 AH battery to reach 30 mph on your bike.

Rider weight plays a very big factor in how far you will be able to go. The more weight that motor has to propel, the harder it has to work and the quicker the battery will drain. Lighter riders will get better range than heavier ones.

Thanks for his. I have these in manual however you better explain it. Also, I have burned through two controllers and I am 185 pounds but my tires set for 20 inch so after seeing this i switched to 22. That probably only refers to speed calculation but I'm desperate to figure out wha'ts going on.

Unfortunately, I have heard of some displays being locked out from Lectric. You may need to contact Lectric to get an unlocked display. I don't work for Lectric, so I'm not sure why some displays can be changed and some can not. Can you change any of the other settings?

I suspect the option was left off because the Lite is a single speed bike. The original XP with multiple gears requires pedal assist in high grear to reach 28 mph. The single speed grearing may be to low on the Lite to reach much over 20 mph.

I got new everything on my 2.0 but it just doesn’t work. New motor, new controller, new cables, new display. Changed the settings to PAS and throttle. It still doesn’t work. This makes no sense why nothing will get this thing to engage in any sort of way. Something has to work but nothing will.
