Sometimes you just have to ignore certain people. We all have to learn that. There are so many people who are just lying in wait for the opportunity to be offended, feign compassion, or throw 2nd grade insults at the ones who actually matter in this world. (I know, a little harsh, but I feel your frustration!🙂)
Thank you!!! We have been looking for a solutions and didn’t want to buy a karaoke when we already got a home speaker set up. You saved our butts.
Bro. I was lost for so long. And finally came across someone who actually had the same problem as me loll. Thank you so much for this!

Good job! Congrats to you and your girl. I’ve been a home tech guy for 40+ years, and even a radio guy for several years, but I’m not so much a karaoke guy. My daughter will be getting married soon, and your video has given me some knowledge and a lot of inspiration to attack the task of being her requested…DJ! 😳😱
Thanks for this video, problem solved with my Bose cinemate and karaoke. I got my karaoke sounds with tv sounds together. I bought mixer and works perfectly..🎉👏

This is the video I have been looking for, thank you very much!
I use PROZOR Audio Converter, that’s really the key. Any brand of converter will work. You can also set up without receiver, if you don’t have one. You can also still use HDMI but your receiver or TV needs to have HDMI Arc, regular HDMI won’t work. Most of my speakers connects are XLR for mic s and speakers, that works also. Great video!
Exactly what I needed!
Thank you so much for this great how to video… I bought a portable PA system I think the conversion of dig to ana will work… with my existing wireless microphones to the external PA speakers/mixer and use the TV for the video… I am doing online karaoke that is streamed thru my Apple TV….I am so appreciative…..
This is a very detail professional video presentation for setting up a karaoke microphone together with a home theater system using a digital to analog converter.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm still a little confused so I will have to watch this vid a couple times to completely get it. But it was explained extremely well, thank you.
Great vedeo. Very clear instructions. Thank you.
I am working on a similar setup and had a question I was hoping you could help with. I have the same microphone to the same mixer. I connected my digital audio from tv to digital to DAC and connected it to the mixer. Now for the audio out I want to go to my sound bar which has optical in or blue tooth or hdmi. Can I connect my main line out to an analog to digital converter and then connect this to my soundbar with an optical cable?
Just setup a new karaoke machine and encounte sound lag issue for microphone! Hopefully the optical wire and the converter will fix the audio issue! Appreciate you explain it step by step!

I've just bought a karaoke and want it connected to surround sound system but also have the mic lag problem. Have you sorted it now and if so what worked for you? Thanks.
Thanks for the video, do you know if this works if I try to use a device connected to the receiver, for example running the KZread app from the Xbox? instead of running KZread from the Samsung tv?
Dude. Thank you so much for making this video. A+
This is great! I have been looking for this solution. I have all my components going INTO my TV because it's easier and higher quality to get all that audio out to my receiver. Is there a way to have a switch to bypass the microphone/mixer to go straight from TV to receiver? There's got to be a gadget that allows that digital type sound from the TV to the A/V receiver... you know, when you're not singing...
You are wonderful man, thanks for your so helpful informations
Thank you for explaining this!
You have answered my problem… I’m going to do what you have said. Thanks GOD BLESS YOU..

if the mixers, mikes, and sound system with cable all you need, or some kind of receiver as well? thank u
Thank you so much for your information. I have been looking for something like this for my mom but I am not sure how I will make this work with my mom’s old receiver. I am already using the optical from her new tv to the receiver so they can play the sound from it in their speaker system so this may complicate things for me. I would appreciate any recommendations.
Hello though you have explained very nicely. I need confirmation. I have a Bose home theatre system and a TV directly connected with optical Output from TV and optical Input in Bose. To make a karaoke system 1. Optical converter which you have shown 2. Music Mixer 3. Mic 4. Cable from Music Mixer to Bose i.e. Headphone jack coming out of Music Mixer and Optical going in the Bose or RCA going in TV 3
Hi I have a Sonos sound system and is it possible if I were to just buy two Bluetooth microphones and sync them together and using my iPhone KZread app for karaoke songs selection to function it?
So my setup I have KZread playing through my tv sound system and my vocals through the mixer and pa speakers. Which works for me. Is there any benefit to have the music and vocals coming through the same speakers?
thank you for your video help me a lot thanks
I did everything that you mentioned in this video. I still can't get both the sound of the mic and the tv sound (youtube) at the same time using my denon receiver. What settings do my tv and receiver need to be at?
Thanks for this video. I have a Denon receiver and a white screen and not a TV. How can I connect?
Are you using the optical because your TV doesn't have a 3.5 headphones audio out or will it not work that way. I assume it will if I then switch the audio on the TV settings to audio out? I'm trying to avoid more cables and an additional adapter.
You are the 3rd video I watched, and YES you have the same audio receiver I have..great.. so I was stumped after getting the mixer installed and couldnt figure out why the HDMI audio was not mixing..duh. just ordered an optical cable and mixer and hopefully that is all I need..thanks

Great video. Quick question: Are you playing your tv audio through your surround sound system when you’re not using the mixer/mics? Do you have to disconnect the cables &/or change the tv output?
I have an old Karaoke DVD player with a mixer function built into it with 2 mic connections in front, optical and S-video holes and a bunch of RCA jacks behind it, can I just use it as a mixer? I don't have a sound bar but have an old stereo system that is basically an FM stereo amplifier that's hooked up to the speakers. How do I connect them? Do I connect the optical cable from TV to the Karaoke DVD player's optical then run RCAs to the stereo system?
Hey, great video and instructions. I have a similar home theater setup except for central speaker. Was wondering if it Is possible to share a connection diagram as I am a bit confused with the optical cable connection and mixer and the receiver. Thanks

Hi Team! Thanks for all the info. I bought the same microphone system. Trying to hook it up like yours. If I get the additional adapter and mixer, will I need to be plugging / unplugging the optical every time I do karaoke?

Nice video. Question. I have my components in a shelf concealed behind the wall. Maybe 10 feet or less from where we would be using, but not visible as the receiver would be behind the wall. This is a line of sight wireless microphone system?

Thank you so much. You're freaking awesome 😂
With this exact set up, do you even need the two XLR cables for the two mics? I don't see them plugged in.
Thanks, really helpful video. One question though. Currently I am using my TV for viewing ATMOS 5.1 movies. For that I have to connect my TV to the receiver through e Arc HDMI port. Now if I want to do karaoke, I have to connect my TV with the Optical port to the mixer. So does that mean that each time I watch movies I have to select on my TV the output as HDMI and each time I do Karaoke I have to choose optical output right ? Is there a way to switch between the two types of output automatically?

Hi i dont have a smart tv im using firestick. Hiw can i connect the surround sound instead.
Can I connect the RCA convert it into a optical output directly to a speaker instead of a receiver. My speaker already has a optical. Auio
Pretty cool, but how do you use just the TV with the speakers? The mixer would have to be plugged in. And you would have to use separate remote controls, one for the TV and one for the receiver? Currently I have my TV connected to my receiver through HDMI ARC and I control both the TV and receiver with one remote.
Thanks for the video. My question is, I use bose soundbar so I don’t have a receiver. Does all these setup work without a receiver? Can I connect the TS cable from sound mixer to my projector system directly.

I've been struggling for years with my setup. I have an Epson projector which connects through long high quality HDMI cables to a Pioneer receiver, which have 5.1 Harmon speakers connected. I bought a HDMI karaoke mixer/set but it gaves delays in the audio through put. So music and the songs didn't sync. Just wondering.. I don't have optical on the projector, I do have it on my receiver. Need to figure this out in my head. 😆

@teamjustduet will this mixer and set up work with samsung sound bar?
Hi, I would like to ask about the output from the mixer to AVR and then towards the speaker. Is the end output at the speaker side 5.1 surround sound (as per your setup seen this video) by using KZread from your Smart TV? Or only your Stereo Left and Right Speakers and subwoofer only working (Hence 2.1 only)? I had a similar setup like yours however my AVR is a Samsung DVD player that supports 5.1. I've tried hooking TV towards the AVR using the RCA directly and seems like the result is also 2.1 only hence I'm unsure it should be like this or I should upgrade to a better AVR. So far the DVD player only outputs 5.1 when it plays DVD hence I'm confused whether its working as intended or its just the AVR problem. Thanks in advance! Nice tutorial too.

Hey mate thanks so much for the explanation. Couldn't find anything on this anywhere else. I had one question though, My TV only has hdmi (eArc) and optical out, and my sound bar only has HDMI out / in and optical in. So no RCA... what else do I need to get it to work? Cheers

You would need to buy a mixer for the setup that has digital (optical aka toslink) out to make this configuration work. They def. exist though may not be as cheap as a pure analog mixer (as in the video). Everything else would be the same as described here (or close to it) you just need that one additional output that's compatible with your soundbar. Alternatively you could use an analog mixer but would need a simple analog to digital converter device to take analog from mixer and turn it to digital (via optical) to feed to soundbar.

It worked, finally! After racking my brain for months! Thanks so much! I have the same Samsung TV, Mixer, Yamaha 5.1 ARC/HDMI/Optical and followed your instructions with the Optical > RCA for sound, does that mean it's not true Digital 5.1 Surround Sound, since it's using RCA into the receiver? 🙂(fyi: TV video hooked up to receiver via ARC)

I have a firestick (for youtube) connect via Bluetooth to a karaoke mixer with 2 wireless mic, the mixer connected via aux out to aux in to jbl partybox 110 speaker. The power for the firestick is through the usb connector available in the back of every lcd tv. The jbl partybox has a usb port to power the mixer. These will eliminate 2 extra plugs in the wall. Professional set up. Enjoy.
Took me a little bit to figure it out, But it's dual rca to dual 1/4 ts cables I believe, for anyone else. Dunno if it was mentioned or not.

I have another video reviewing the speaker system
Can you do all this if you only have sound bar?
Great. But why not use jack line out from TV?
Will this fix the delay in the mic?
will this work on a bluetooth/wireless speaker system?
I experience a delay of audio from the microphone. How can we correct this?
Not sure if anyone can help. I bought the same exact converter and sound board however ran into a couple problems. My Yamaha sound system would only play sound if I went from the sound board into a HDMI converter which then plugged into the HDMI1 port on the Yamaha. The problem though is I only get static from the sound coming from the TV. It plays fine if I connect the sound directly to the Yamaha but not when it goes through the optical-to-RCA converter then to the sound board. Microphones work just fine through the sound board (same microphones as this video). Can anyone help me with this?
How do you adjust the tone up and down?
i ahve done everything as suggested by you , however there is a sound delay from the Mic, please help
