This just popped up in my suggested videos (three years after you made it, ha!). I’m 8 minutes in and am really enjoying it. I just finished my first full craft fair season, and I completely agree. I had the best successes at markets that did not allow direct sales products. The only time I tried a market that allowed direct sales products (I did not know that in advance), I paid $40 for my booth fee and only sold $50 worth of stuff. Yeah. Like you, my target market is people who enjoy quality handmade items. I’m upscaling my booth set-up for this coming season, so this video is super helpful! Going to watch the rest of it now.

My mom and dad ran their local church craft fair since before I was born, my aunt and mom were vendors at different craft events since they were in their 20s so I would consider myself extremely comfortable around the environment. When it comes to doing a show on my own at the age of 28, I freeze 😂. I have suddenly forgotten how anything is supposed to look or work and the thought of doing one scares me. Thanks for showing me better than my mom’s unhelpful advice of “Just make some stuff-not a lot but I guess whatever you think you need” 🥴

Sorry I didn't respond before today, I hope all went well for you despite the rain! A change of shoes, towels and tents with sides would be my recommendations. Some shows I did had a refund policy if your products were eerily damaged by rain/moisture (like paper greeting cards and the like?), but usually you can't back out 😑

I feel like you were very helpful with ideas on how to display and set up. I’m getting ready for my second craft fair. First one was a very sad day. Outdoors, extremely windy and nothing sold. This one is indoors and I won’t have my toddlers running around everywhere. So I’m hopeful that it goes better.

You are too cute. I enjoy the way you speak with both the speed and articulation! Is that a word? Anyway, don’t worry about speaking too fast. If you didn’t pronounce every sound and syllable, then maybe it would be a problem, but you did great. Also, thank you for showing off your goods! I had to laugh, no offense, to your fast talking. The reason is, the previous video I was watching, the two people were talking sooo slow, that I sped it up to 150% to get thru it. Then I started watching your video and thought 'Hmm I must have the speed still set fast' Anyways.. LOVE this video, your products and love your booth setup!
