Today we use a router sled to route down this live edge slab I free hand cut with my Stihl av015. I cut the board out of a log that has been drying for years, then begin the flattening proccess. Part 1 of a table top build. We also use a number 4 jack plane to plane down the router marks left behind by the router while flattening. This is a piece of cherry that I felled a few years back.
