Thank you for this good video; well explained and narrated! I got this device with no instructions and I was stuck and did not know about the 'Navigation Ring' on the periphery of the 'Select' button. Your video explained that quite well! Now all is good!

Yep. Standard TOS with every consumer internet capable device. Every app and device has its own algorithms that monitor your activity in order to better monetize your interactions. It’s called “targeted advertising/content”. By definition, in order to “target” what advertising/content will most likely compel you to interact with an app/device in the manner their respective algorithms determine are most likely to profit the makers of that app and/or device. What’s creepy isn’t that such wide scale monitoring technology exists, it’s that we have actively, enthusiastically not just clamored, but paid for the “privilege” and “convenience” to have more and more of it year after year

Simply hold down the 'home' button for 10 seconds, you should get a pop up message confirming pairing on bottom right of screen. If not, keep repeating till done...

yes, but it'll pop up that your port is unstable, you just by pass it, if the TV is working slow, then you should plug it into the wall

Kind of difficult to believe that UK style plugs are so superior... when no one else in the world uses them outside of the Commonwealth except Malaysia or Singapore (can't remember which) uses it. And even then Australia and New Zealand and Canada use a different style of plug. Which is ironic because the same argument of "no one else uses it!" is also how the non-moonlanding-unit people defend why metric is superior. You can't have it both ways, Limeys.

An utter insult this product is. The product has no bandwidth and any talking sounds like it is all in slow motion. I dknt recommend firestick, it's rubbish.

I spend more time watching the circle spinning around, rather than watching content on firestick. That's with a fast Internet connection. Bezos makes a heap load of $ from providing a terrible bit of technology, because the device is made with the cheapest of parts, hence why it does not work properly. Highly annoying when trying to watch the live sport too. It is astonishing that no other company invests in providing a stable platform by utilising quality components, mainly the WiFi receiver and id switch in a heartbeat. I think firestick is a con and we are making Bezos richer, yet his products are naff. You do the maths, because the word, Parasite comes to mind?.
