If you didn't hear alexa, then test your Speakers if speakers are working. Because you will always hear alexa after reboot

This is a great video bro. I tried this on my Raspberry Pi and after rebooting alexa said hi and I used the wakeword "ALEXA" and it responded by "YES". This the only response I am getting from Alexa. last time I checked Music will not work , for that you need to buy licence or something I don't remember

It's really cool that this is even possible, however a 3rd gen dot is under 20 bucks at this point. Even with the Pi I'd spend more for a mic and speaker then that.

You can use any connections

First of all thank you so much. I'm facing some challenges as followed. 1) Latest OS won't work with this steps. 2) got old os NOOBS 3.2.1 in this os it all the steps are working properly except i'm unable to use mic (it gets detected in os) still it is not communicating with the config. I'm trying to figure this out too. I see my PiAlexa in my Alexa Android app but it shows offline. The piAlexa seems to work fine besides this. Could it be a port needs to opened/forwarded? Or shared? Or https'ed maybe.
