Thanks for the tips, Roger! Over and out.
these workflow is superb !
great vid Roger ! Interesting to get your take on mix bus
Excellent presentation, thank you. The problem with people who know what they're doing is that the changes made to the mix are so subtle that they're not really necessary ! I can barely hear your in / out comparisons, and that's actually a good thing. Most plugins, etc. are not necessary if the program is recorded correctly in the first place. Nice workmanship.
KZread just recommended this video on my feed and I am glad I stumbled on your channel! great content!

Ok. Nicely done. One year in and you’re much more focused than I. Nice review on how to do a few things. You’re on the new guy list. Splendid!

I'm still wading through your suggestions - and not utterly convinced they are all going to be for me. That reservation uttered I will say the idea of a 'Mix-Buss' seems worth a try, I LOVED your suggestions for a 'High pass' filter at 30Hz and some lift at 10kHz, they are working out marvellously. So far I have been working on some (formerly) finished tracks using your suggestions and apart from a need (for these particular tracks) to keep the 10kHz lift very low (+0.5db) I have nothing but praise - Thank you very much Roger.

Try it at around 16Khz for the high frequencies thats the sweet spot i find, and if possible make it very wide. you can get away with adding 2-4 dbs easily and itll bring life to everything
I'm sorting my Mix Buss at the moment. Very helpful. Subscribed.

I have a Mastering Rack I made in Ableton that does pretty much all you have - slight eq, slight glue compressor and a gentle saturator (rather than a tape filter). I throw it on my Master channel only after I'm just about done mixing. The defaults are just audible - and always only a starting point but tweaking is slight and it saves me so much time.

@@Rogerthatmusic next up is getting good enough at hearing the difference hahah
sorry i had to come and ask you one question after days trying this mix bus amazing , my question is : do i have to render the track with the bus mix on then master or i just use the mix bus on while i'm mixing thanks
Subbed!
0:39 Great
Well how do you set it up ??
tape bus page is asking for a password to continue? it's like the whole site is locked to the public or something
:)))))!
😂😂
Pul as in Pulse Technology not pool tech
This is impractical. You're going to route 100+ channel outputs to a mixbus? Nah, there are better ways
@Rogerthatmusic
Жыл бұрын
I find it practical. The tracks I don’t use in a mix I simply delete. And it’s the same amount of sounding tracks routed to the mixbus with or without the busses. One benefit of the busses is that they can take some heat before the mixbus.
