Way to make a vid on a topic that is never talked about. Def more apt given the current state of nets in Hermosa. Minor complaint tho. You called it a fig 8 knot, but its just an overhand, and its very hard to untie after a session of vball. Would have preferred using an actual figure 8, or even better an alpine butterfly, which untie way easier. But I'm just a knot snob. :)

Not to mention that you can't get the knot back through the screw eye when you need to take the net back down. A better knot is just a slip knot to form the loop. Look up truckers hitch so see how it's tied. And tie it off with a slipped half hitch so you can untie it.

If you replace the first knot with the second knot, then you will be able to undo both the knots with a pull. You can also use the rabbit comes out of the hole and runs around the tree. Good video and love the logo.

What length of rope do you recommend for the top and bottom?

How long of a rope should I buy?

How are the ropes connected to the actual net? Can't see that

This is a variation of a truckers hitch knot. Very useful in many application. Tie-down cargo on a trailer; pitching up tents or free-standing canopy; hanging up hammocks; etc.
