How to set the table | 🍰Afternoon Tea 🍽

Gallery (images) for table setting:
drive.google.com/drive/folder...
In this video I show you step by step how to do a table setting for an afternoon tea party. I'll show you what crockery you will need, where to place the cutlery, the napkin, the teapot, the jam and cream dish, the sugar bowl, milk jug and tea strainer. Then I will give some great tips on bringing the table to life by using really inexpensive fabric and alternatives to cake stands if you are on a budget. You can do a tea party with really high-end stuff and you can also do it on a shoestring budget, you just need creativity and some love!
If it's in your heart to entertain and if I have inspired you to unleash your inner domestic goddess...go for it! Create and have fun it is a gift to yourself and to others.

    If you’re having a hard time Ebay is fantastic! Far better than amazon. You can bid on sets of 6, 12 and they even have job lots available which is great if you want more. I found this the most economical way as sometimes I would win a bid for £4 for a set of 6 which is awesome! Another way I collected mine was through thrift stores and markets. Hope this helps and all the best :)

    I’m pretty sure it’s called Royal Albert, old country roses 🌹 I really like this brand of China and it’s even better in real life! You’ll often find auctions on eBay for them reasonably priced :)

    I think rather than using a bread and butter plate as what you call an "underplate" you use an 8" DESSERT PLATE.

    Where does the tier stands, flower piece, and tea pot goes? The center? The end of the table? Tea pot close to where the hostess is sitting?

  • @NadiaRae

    @NadiaRae

    3 жыл бұрын

    Depends on how many teapots if they’re the small little ones than the video demos that but if it’s one large one then typical yes bu the hostess and it’s passed down guest to guest to pour or the hostess should pour for their guests. For flowers make sure they are cut short and the vases are small. They can run down the centre of the table :)

    There should be a tea strainer for every person?

  • @NadiaRae

    @NadiaRae

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hello thanks for your question. Yes ideally there should be but this depends on the menu. If you’re offering one tea only then no need for each person to have their own you can have one between perhaps every 4 people. If there are multiple teas you would like to offer I would suggest one strainer per person. This is not essential but ideal if you’re hosting a tea party for family and friends you’ll for sure get away with sharing tea strainers. It adds to fun as it’s a nice ice breaker :) Hope this helps and happy hosting!
