I have watched this so many times in preparation to try and give my girl a continental one day. She also has an extremely thick coat. It looks like you're using ice on ice. Is there a reason you use a spray when scissoring the coat? Is that for the combing part and not necessarily the trimming part? Does it help the hair lay how you want it? I'm just curious because I haven't thought about using a spray when giving my girl a haircut and I'm wondering if that would help my scissoring technique. Thank you! 🤙🏻

It's mostly for combing. You NEVER want to brush a dry coat, it will cause damage and breakage. You have to properly comb out your dog to scissor them, or else the coat will look COMPLETELY different when you get them ready to show. When you show them, you brush and spray the coat, so you should do the same while you are trimming them to everything looks the same. If you do not brush and spray the coat, it will look completely different, the hair might not be even, it may be chunky, you might have matts or other issues.
