Man thank you. In a snow storm in Greenville and could not get the generator running for anything. Cleaned the carb but still not getting gas. You showed me exactly what was clogged and tonight we have backup power. You are the man!

Excelent video. You actually indirectly saved my family's life, well . . . kinda. I used this video to fix/clean my Honda EU3000si generator and the carburator is VERY similar if not identical. I followed the video very carefully. I live in Puerto Rico and then Huricane María hit us (September 20, 2017). The whole island was out. Some areas were without power for 6 months. We didnt have power for 4 monts. That generator served us well. Refigerator(with freezer), lights, fans, TV, some kitchen appliances and even the washing machine! we ran it daily for nearly 8 to 12 hrs. None of our food spoiled. The refrigerator keep cold for the remainder of the 24 hrs. We even made ice that we sometimes shared with neighbours and threw over an extension cord a couple of times. I literally fixed the generator (which would not generate 120V and soon shut off) about a week before Huricane Irma hit us (María hit us about 2 weeks later). I had always wanted to thank you. I often think that people like you that selflessly show others how to fix or repair things are like angels or at least inspired by angels. Don't pay attention to the mean comments. Focus on the good comments. Nobody is perfect. In my experience none of the good ones are perfect, that is what makes them great! Thank you again

As FYI to others, I'm posting to confirm that stripping down the carburetor and cleaning out the jet orifice solved the starting problems on my Honda GCV160 engine. It would start and run [although barely] for a couple seconds then die. After this 30 minute procedure it fired up on a couple pulls and runs strong like new. Thank you Ray and good luck to others.

Thanks, this was valuable. Since it was your first, like any first attempt, plenty of room for improvement. I'm a teacher so here are some unsolicited teaching tips. 1. Make a list of steps first. 2. Decide how you are going to show each step. 3. Show each and every step- don't skip reassembly, it's as important as disassembly 4. Show from a working point of view and then get close to parts-- seeing is believing as they say. 5. Start at the beginning- as in here's the mower or whatever the carb was attached to and here's how to get it off. 6 Get a desk light or some nice concentrated source (preferably 2 -one from each side) so there are no shadows or black holes. Good luck.

There is also a jet under the Low Idle Speed Adjusting Screw. The plastic idle jet plug pulls out without threads. Also be advised there is a Fuel Inlet Needle under the main jet. Once the main jet is unscrewed the Fuel Inlet needle should drop right out. Several very small holes in the needle could be clogged, especially if gas with ethanol was left to do its dirty work over the winter months.

Dot verry good
Gday Ray, I have a Sanli mower that I'm about to take carby off. The motor is like a cheaper copy of a Honda. The carby is identicle to your Honda. Thanks mate, looks heaps easier now. Mine is running way to rich and doesn't seem to have a mixture screw.

Good poop, man.
Easy to fallow guy
the motor on my pressure washer is revving when i pull the trigger how do you fix revving problems?? check my video out its under "pressure washer revving" thanks
this float bowl is made to collect all crap in the bottom that can't get out of the higher drain plug. first gas that goes through next season will push it into the jets. thats why your fixing it.
Thanks For Watching! And Glad To Help!
Yes you would need to remove and I will be making a new video on how to install and reinstall one in this upcoming week.

Your so cool nice vidoe.
You completely omitted the very important part of removing the main jet.

One will be coming soon .. Sorry I lost the account awhile back and just recovered it today ! There will be plenty more videos coming soon.
@briansmobile1 Thanks And Yea My Kid Made It For My Channel..He Is Good With All That Stuff.
Did not take the other jet out screw driver inside the carb and push the other jet and clean that one too
i already cleaned the carburetor thoroughly
Bon
You never pulled out the jet dude, you just pulled out the jet orfice! The actual jet is under the orfice and has to be pushed out from the intake port.
Tell us where and how to get the carburetor out. Fuck.
bad idea to use tip cleaners, minature files
too slow and methodical
I will be making a new video on how to install and reinstall one in this upcoming week.
