HOW TO SERVICE A 4' KING KUTTER BRUSH MOWER

The grass in the pastures is getting out of control! We need to get our brush mower maintained and ready for the mowing season. It does not go as fast as I thought it would.

Those cotter pins looked to be a pain in the rear. After watching this, I am definitely going to stand mine up to do that job. Thanks for sharing!

They were a pain! It didn't help that when I replaced the blades the first time I reused the old pins. Never again! Thanks for watching and commenting!

I think I would of put some anti-seize on the stud and bolts using a castle nut, it would make future disassembly easier. I have a King Kutter mower like this, only it's 5 foot wide.

Appreciate the video. Bought this same mower attachment and I’m gonna have to replace all but the deck.

Oh that’s a bummer! So far it has been working well for me. I have heard of other people having issues and not liking it. Thanks for watching!

I believe the blade nuts were 1 1/4" and the stump hooper nut was 1 1/2" but that was a while ago so my memory might not be the best on it.

Those blades aren’t supposed to be sharp. It’s a brush hog, sharp blades will deform much faster…just my opinion. Of course, if it’s just grass and you e got no debris, sharpening is ok

We mow mostly heavy tall grass with weeds. Not too much brush. I understand that you want a more obtuse angle for heavy debris but the one blade couldn't even be called an edge. It was completely round like a 1/4" thick.
