Make sure you’re on iOS 12 or later. If you're having issues running the shortcut. Do this. Assuming that you've already downloaded the shortcut using the link in the description, go to settings, shortcuts, advanced, and enable the top two settings (allow running scripts and allow sharing large amounts of data). That will allow things to run smoothly if they aren't already. For more apple content, subscribe and turn on notifications for all things Apple

@@haloboy3ify I ended up using ‘hit em up’. They have a free option, only downside is you have to hit send for each contact.

I have used your instructions for the past year and LOVE it. I updated my phone to 17.2.1. and now it is not working at all. It stalls after I put in my message and won't move into my contacts and lists. Any suggestions?

Thanks for this video. I really wanted to avoid creating a massive group or sending one message at a time, when I changed my cell number. Not sure if this happened with others, but it seemed like I could only use the shortcut for batches of 10 contacts. Is there a setting that should be changes to allow more?

Might just be a bug on your phone. I’ve been able to send the same message to over 100 people.

Hello, You should be able to send it to a list of people that you've created. The shortcut works by allowing you to select the contacts that you'd like the message to be sent to after typing the message in. If it isn't allowing you, please see the pinned comment. go to settings, shortcuts, advance, and allow sharing large amounts of data should be enabled if not enabled already

Hey there! Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to do this in WhatsApp. The shortcut only works for iMessage.

@@fastmovinghomes3552 I found a compromise. Search on KZread mass messaging. You can send messages to multiple people all at once but they must be a contact.

Damn this is sexy. I modified it a bit with an "if" function so that if I start the text with a "," it will auto include the "Hey first name," that you programmed, but if I don't it won't. That way if I am repeating more messages to the same group rapidly it doesn't look weird with every text starting with "Hey first name,"

I downloaded the shortcut however for whatever reason after I enter the text and click done it just gets stuck and doesn’t do anything else. Anybody have a reason or fix for this?

If you use Google Messages you should already be able to. Just go to Messages settings >> Advanced >> Group messaging. Change that to "Send an SMS reply to all recipients and get individual replies (mass text)". Then be sure to change it back once you're done. I haven't tested this tho so idk, I'm just assuming

Mine says allow Mass Message to send 1 contact in a message. Then it has never, once, and something else?

Unfortunately, this script includes the name. If you’d like to have it removed, you would need to edit the script, granted, you know how to write scripts.
