Growing up... My parents were in a country music band so I heard countless songs performed. Sunday afternoons were a jam session at our house with all the local musicians. Great memory. My mom loved Patsy Cline and sang most of her songs (Crazy, I Fall to Pieces). Those are my memory songs of mom. Btw... this channel post is now one of my favs you’ve done. So informative helpful & useful. Going on my SAVE file. Thank you to another music lover.

“Black Sunshine” White Zombie ft. Iggy Pop. My Dad let me help him work on his ‘71 Mustang Grande as a kid, and even let me drive it in high school, I messed it up pretty bad a couple of times trying to street race. My father still drives it. My father and I are very different, he is a bookish, quiet, and contemplative man. I’ve always been loud, rebellious, and reckless. “Black Sunshine,” helps me remember that my father and I aren’t always so different. Great question.

Elvis Presley songs flash memories of my mom and her girlfriend (wild red haired), would hop up and start dancing in the kitchen. Dad songs were always country...any old country songs reminds me of my dad, but the ones me and my dad would sing in the brown paneled station wagon was Delta Dawn and Rhinestone Cowboy, we would belt those two songs out driving along.

Omg.. The Standards that were sung in both English and Spanish remind me of my parents when I was between 4 -10 years old... I'm your age (59). They listened to them in Spanish on their beige mid-century clock radio. Adrea Bocelli has an album with some of the songs I remember from that time, especially "Somos Novios (It's Impossible)" . I bought the CD for my dad the year he passed (2006) and I play it for my mom every now and then...makes me cry though, but the songs are beautiful and take me to those times.

You get very high prices on eBay for records that are sold at record stores, record shows, and record-selling sites for much less. Let's take that Dokken record - stock US pressing in V++/NM-- condition. Go over to Discogs - there's 50 copies listed for sale. If you look at the Discogs solds, they're getting $10-25 plus shipping - a sealed copy just sold for $10.99. I have to think that eBay record buyers must be assuming that eBay is all there is, and the prices there must be the prices. Antique malls are the same way, they put out records at double the highest price they every sold for, but unlike eBay they're not making sales. The SpinClean is very basic, there are also many very expensive cleaning machines like VPI and AudioDesk - yes, people spend $4000 for a RCM. If you really want to learn labels and pressings, there are a lot of labelography sites, and a lot of deadwax sites where you can learn how to recognize important mastering engineers. An experienced record guy will put a record out of a cover and say this one was mastered by Wally Tragout, and pressed in the Winchester, Virginia plant in 1975, three years after the first release. How does he know that? PS - Some of those Stones CDs are dual-layer SACDs - watch out for those. PPS - I see you have a few boots listed. Be careful with those - if eBay finds out, they will close your account.

Yeap, every platform has its prices. For example I sell on AMAZON and the prices there are nearly twice in some cases for similar items. People are condition for that PRIME button or its a business and they don't have EBAY accounts. I sold a scanner on AMAZON for $999 and on Ebay they went for $450. We all price off EBAY comps. That Dokken has sold COMPS at what I have it priced at. Thanks for Watching.
