    Yes, and just to add, as a buyer I really prefer to see the care label and fabric comp - is it hand wash etc. - this is important information. When I list stuff I make sure to photo the care label 😄

    I’ve found putting things on for ever so slightly higher than I want works quite well. People are always going to send you a lower offer so I often get what I originally wanted whilst also giving the receiver a discount

    Great video! Measurements can be key as sizes can vary greatly. Waist, bust (or pit to pit) and length is good. For skirts waist and length, trousers waist and inside leg etc. The lowest offer you can make is 60% of the asking fee, I generally try and list things where the amount I want is 80% of what I list it for then it’s generally a win win. People often make offers unless the item is a very low price. Stating that the price reflects the condition is also helpful so people can see you’ve considered this in the pricing. I’ve recently seen things listed with “polite notice: no offers” at the top of the description section when the seller is unwilling to haggle has also been very helpful. I was stung this week when I received a skirt from a high street brand where the size was listed and the skirt described as new condition but it clearly was from 90’s/00’s and although in pristine condition was clearly two sizes too small due to the change in sizing in the UK market over the years. If the seller had put measurements or put photos of the labels then I would have seen that I should have queried the sizing. Inside label photos are key! Sometimes I find photos of someone wearing an item can put me off, especially if it doesn’t fit them properly anymore so making sure they fit well is important. And photos of someone wearing shoes is a definite no no for me.

    How interesting. I was contacted by a few buyers about some blouse and shoes to try them and do a picture for them to see how it is on. I was literally panicking because new blouse with label I thought I will tear apart 😅 Some request I had to decline because I knew it was too small so I would damage clothes.

    I am seller and active buyer. I am originally from Lithuania and used vinted like 10 years but living in Italy and so happy that people use it. Personally I don't buy clothes without labels. It is just sketchy. I also like to know what kind of material I am wearing/using. Items of well known names or of trend sells quicker. As a buyer I have long list of things I liked and if I really set my eyes on something I buy it right away without much bargain, but first I just question about it to make sure it is right for me. Other items might have too high price so I wait to see if seller just makes a bit lower, specially a luxury item. Thank you for your tips!

    Thanks for the ideas ☺Do you have any tips on the parcel size selection? People will of course pick the cheapest option in each category but that is with a company that doesn't have any parcel shops in my area - and a 20 minute drive to drop off a 2€ item is not really sustainable 😅Putting it in the description sometimes gets ignored so I'm wondering if there is a better solution

    hi not sure if you've already figured this out but you can filter your delivery options so that buyers can only select from those which are best for you (closest to you), if you go to profile, settings and then postage there are toggles you can turn on and off to make the options available!

    What do I do if I want my packages to be picked up at a parcel shop/locker, do I have to add it in my settings instead of where my normal address is?

    Thanks for this. I have been hesitant giving Vinted a go, but I might try them out with the things I couldn't shift on ebay. My pain point is the postage which really ramps up the price if you want to make anything at all. Are your prices before postage? :/

  • @charlotte.rebecca

    Great question! On Vinted, the buyer pays postage and can choose a method that suits them from the ones you've selected. So the price you set is the amount you will get 🙂

    I’ve only just started buying from vinted and love it. Always drawn more to the ones with lots of photos of different parts. I’m a baddie. I’ve bought loads 😂 only a few things I haven’t liked the fit or too big. But I put them into the preloved bin at tk maxx for someone else to enjoy. Haven’t tried selling though

    Hey with both inpost options, does it give you QR codes for both home delivery and lockers/store pick up?

  • @charlotte.rebecca

    @charlotte.rebecca

    I've found it's a mix of QR codes and labels you print and I think it depends on which option the buyer chooses. If it's locker to locker, I think it's QR code whereas if they are having it delivered to their house, I think you have to print it as it has their address on.

    I personally find Vinted a lot more user-friendly. Also, I mainly sell clothes and buyers for clothes is one of the key target audiences of Vinted, so you know the users on the platform are there looking for that sort of thing; whereas Ebay is much broader - I found to have much quicker sales on Vinted than Ebay 🙂

    How do you upload photos of items that are in their original packaging to see the clothes since the suckers on vinted only want pic taken by the seller and if I take it out of the package it will no longer be not opened without use...

  • @charlotte.rebecca

    In this case, I would find an image off the original brand/store website, and then take your photo of it in its original packaging and just make it really clear on your listing that the photo is for illustration only and not the actually item as yours is sealed.
