Good info. In the states I was told 2 to 3 inches from the bellybutton. After a month or so you run out of space. Farther to the sides hurts more but if they are all close it makes some weird bruising . Not a fan but I like the purpose

you can also do it from you leg, you dont' need to do it in your belly if your unconfotable with that. you can grab a fatty part of the leg with the same process here and deliever the injection.

Can I use this even a month after I left hospital coz I only used it at the hospital I struggled finding to hem at the nearest pharmacy

Do any doctors or nurses know if you can do this anywhere else on the body? I did my first of these this morning, following knee surgery yesterday, but now have to do it every day for the next six weeks. Rather than have a belly like a pin cushion, it'd be helpful to be able to do it in my upper arm, like a vaccine or vitamin shot. You would think this would be an easy question for google, but not so far!

@@RealLittleFrog I ended up with a hideous-looking stomach for six weeks, but luckily the bruising cleared up within days of stopping. ;-)

This is a distressing thing for patients to have to do. Surely there must be other ways to get a blood thinner medication?

oddest thing in the states , you don't get a sharps bin . assuming we can afford the medicine we are (unclear) i believe meant to find and purchase one then send it to a disposal company of our choice for a fee of course . though none of this information is provided or known , it is very much "ok , here are the shots , bye" .

Not so in California. Just had my surgery and received the package of both medication and container. I wonder if it's due to the type of insurance one has. The best to all good people.

@@sharonbarry8878 very good insurance but didn't get a container. Going to put them back in the box and bring to pharmacy to take care of them when I get my prescription

Yeah, I didn’t receive a sharp container either. When I asked, I was told to put them in a empty milk jug and toss in household waste can. 😳 Horrified at that instruction! I plan to return them to a pharmacy for disposal.
