How To See TAYRONA NATIONAL PARK in One Day! Cabo San Juan, Jungle Hike & Speed Boat Colombia Travel
In this video we explore Tayrona National Park for the day. We based ourselves in Santa Marta for about a week to explore the area and our first stop is the very famous and somewhat difficult to get to Cabo Can Juan beach which is inside Tyron National Park.
We decided after researching online to take the bus to the main entrance (there are 2 entrances) but we had to take two public buses which took up a lot of time, we’d recommend taking a taxi to the entrance if you want to do the jungle hike as it’s much quicker.
We had a bit of trouble paying to get in as the prices online didn’t match up to what the real prices were and we had planned to pay on card as normally you can but on this day their internet was down so no payments were working. We had some cash but not enough on us.
After finally getting into the park we only had half a day to explore the jungle hike and relax on the beach for an hour or two. Luckily when we got to Cabo San Juan we found out that we could take a boat straight back from the beach to Taganga which is a lovely little fishing village with great restaurants and bars along by the sea. We were so happy to not have to hike back because as lovely as the hike is, once is definitely enough in this heat!

Huge ants & lizards😮& wow those views & beaches - Def worth the hike!!!😮 Yes quite like The Seychelles, especially with those boulders! Bet it was fab getting in that sea after the LONG hike! Wonderful. Great you got more time there & still got a boat - that looked great fun! Walking one way looked enough anyway!!! Glad you got some cash & something to eat! Great trip to see - thanks 👍

Used to go camping there back in the 70's and there was literally NOTHING but beach, sand, mosquitoes and coconut trees! We made bonfires and camped there with buddies. The entire place was all for us! Except for La Piscina and Cabo, the other beaches are VERY dangerous due to currents, sharks and barracudas. Some friends used to scuba dive there, not me!

I think there’s only campsites here in the National park but Airbnbs and hotels back in Taganga.

We didn’t get asked for it arriving into Colombia but have had to show it in some other countries in South America.
