Another great video Doc. Around 40 hours in and my main problem is finding a good setup for the crf250r. I got a 58.198 in Swedish midsummer 2 but using a stock kx250 I managed a 58.008 in a few laps compare to the Honda. Although I like how the kx feels I would prefer to use a Honda

Yeah scrubbing in this game is one the most important things to master to become fast. Especially in SX when everyone is doing the same lines and like we saw last year when lean help 0 was still a thing example. Hurlz was so fast with it because it allowed him to scrub everything so tightly.

Can also scrub while standing the entire time and using a ton of rider lean. Works especially well for big long crests like Henry Hill. As I’m about 1/4-1/2 way up the face i start to lean into the scrub with both rider lean and the main bike lean while leaning back a little. By the time the tires are leaving the ground I’m holding the main lean full tilt and snap the rider back to help the bike rotate around in the air. While in the air i just use the rider lean to get the rider back on top of the bike and i literally just let the bike float, might need some encouragement with the main lean but it is really satisfying when done without turning the bars. Looks really cool in replay also lol might make a video myself on the different ways i whip/scrub cause I’m sure this was confusing to read sorry i did my best lmao

Just wanna comment on your point at 9:20, when you sit in game the bike comes up to meet you, but the same is also true irl. It's not the opposite. It might be counter intuitive cause you expect the bike to be weighed down when you sit like it does on the ground, but in the air there is no weight force, there is only the force of the rider pulling itself onto the bike. Newtons 3rd Law states every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Therefore, sitting pulls your body down to the bike, but it also pulls the bike up to your body. The same is true with leaning your rider in any other direction. Leaning the rider left will push the bike to the right, leaning the rider forwards will pull the bars upward towards it's chest. Once you understand this aspect of bike control it all makes a lot more sense and you'll be able to figure out how to lean the rider to adjust the bike in the air.

Just counter lean before it goes around like you would do normally when doing whips or whatever. Also you want to be smooth ofc try to crank down the bike fast as possible when trying to scrub low on jumps but you need to control it don't just throw the bike and forget about it :D
