My boss is starting to teach me how to screen print next week(I do embroidery, digital printing and some office stuff right now) so this video was super nice. I know bits and pieces of the process so it was nice seeing it all put together! Thanks!:)
Thank you for the instructional videos. I just bought all of my parents neighbors screen printing equipment including all of his sublimation equipment. He ran his business out of his home for 35 years. Anyways I worked with him for a few weeks plus he is going to help me for the next year at my shop. Channels like yours are a huge help to me as I learn the basics. I hope that this coming summer to open up my own shop. Thanks again, excuse me as I go watch the rest of your videos
We had a little experience with this over the years. Thank you for showing others some of the things involved.
I have been in prepress for 40 years and this is the first time I have seen the screen process, pretty interesting
love the step by step process, really helps. We getting ready to do our first tee in mid April 2018 So excited. Thank you
Great work guys! Awesome video!
What an awe inspiring process!
We had the films already printed and i just brushed over how to send us files. This was more for our clients who didn't know anything about the screen printing process. Once colors are in spot, they separate out pretty easily in Indesign printer settings. And to answer your other question, Vastex 2000hd 6/6 and we have a 4/4
Great tutorial. We use the Vastex v1000 for live screen printing. It holds great registration.
fourambition, woaooo I love it... You make look easy... I'm starting at my home, I have small machine, no bad for start... Thank you for your patiencie and show your tips
Great video, thanks for taking the time to help us understand the process. The spot color was something new to me. I'll definitely do that going forward when I send creative to our vendor. Some feedback for you, the level on your background music track is a bit high so at times it's difficult to hear the instruction. All in all, a great video, thank you.
I love how you cut to the chase, great approach. I'd like to know about how to register accurately for 2 or 3 colors. Especially, how you know when to pull down your second and third screen so that they line up properly. Please advise if you can. Thanks.
I work in d.t.g. printing/screen printing and we are in the process of printing stadium cushions. Having problems with the ink smearing. Do you have any tips?
Thanks for the video, I've made the decision to do lots of research on screen printing!
This is the process id love to learn. you ended up on my deep dive of research and youtube university. thanks for that.
that is fab i am going to start screen print transfers is this a good idea or bad
what kind/name paper you use for film and ink you use...thanks
how long is the exposure time to reveal the mesh?, What kind of light you use
if you received a jpeg file that was not spot colored or if the measurements werent standard would there be anyway to resize the image before printing it or could the printer match the colors (as close as possible) in order to print (2 or 3 color image) ??
whats the best ink to use for screen printing t shirts? @fourambition
Thank you for a very good video to explain the process!
Can you only screen print on clothing that has a flat surface? I have some t shirts with a bumpy texture but I don’t know if it will work
thank you for making this video.... what is the software that you are using?
Great video, thanks. Are you using special in könne that Epson 1400?
What application is used
What program do you use for playing around with images?
Great video, If I wanted to design logos and graphics for t shirts what program would you recommend for a MAC? Also do you guys have website?
any recommendations on screen o printing equipment to start of
Fourambition That's a nice little video...just got my first press... that's all I've got lol but it's my first step taken... nice video... might fire some questions your way sometime... thanks
When do you put the emulsion on the frame, is it not light sensitive? What does the frame do in the Lumitron?
@rochelle Renee, This was just as short video to show people who don't screen print what the process is like. We have a dark room we store screens squeegee side up. There's so many variables with what kind of exposure unit, mesh count, type of emulsion etc. Best way to know your exposure time is use a test strip. Flash drying is just so wet ink doesn't stick to back of screen, about 5 secs. Hope that answers some of your questions.
Great video! Very helpful!
Dope video! got a question, i just recently bought a epson 1440 printer for transparencies. Could you make a video on how to print them, i've tried to print on transparencies so far and it just keeps saying the paper needs to be reloaded when i already have it in there smh.
What emulsion are you using? I was told that you have be be in an dark room?
Great video, and your super fluid. Hope to get that way someday.
Hi, what is the industry terminology for the best quality cotton shirts with a soft feel and high quality stitching? Also, REI makes my favorite shirt, the REI Sahara T-Shirt. But, it's polyester. Is it possible to screen print on a polyester fabric?
What was the machine called that you put the screen in before washing it?
would you guys do some iron ons if i send the jpg and what would be the price per sheet
After coating with elmosion how long should it dry for. No one seens to say the time. Thanks
Great video how do you use all over printing
Can someone tell me the quality difference between this method and using a printer with full range color printing and a heat press? Is this for bulk order processing? I feel like these 8-12 screen printing presses are too limited on color. I'm thinking about getting a home unit to make some swag for my channel and am confused as to what I should be considering.
curious is the water proof film a special type of printer paper or can you uses regular multipurpose paper. And is there a solution for laser printers if you don't have an inkjet? Also for the vaccum developing press what is it can you uses a regular uv lamp or florescence lamp? As i have the photoresist chemicals and screen printing ink but i am just trying to figure out how to print and develop the design on my mesh. I can develop the graphics design in software fine the issue is printing out the design and developing it. At the point of washing it down is the part i can do and beyond.
starting my new job in 2 or 3 days thank you for the VIDEO!

Do you need a degree for this job?
Really dope. What would a home version look like? DIY but still great quality. What is the scaled down version to fit in a garage or something
Do you only have black ink in your Epson printer. Or do you have the yellow blue etc ink in there as well?
Great presentation!
Hi! Great!! Job, what model is the Epson?
What kind of emulsion do you use?
I'm interested why you print your separations from Indesign and not just Illustrator? Any particular reason?
What kind of emulsion are you guys using. it seems that you are doing things in a very bright room.
apology printer model you are using and what kind of paper is this??
My dad started a screen print business 25 years ago man i respect him for that

What is the SCREEN EXPOSURE UNIT brand?
what is the difference in screens does each color have its own screen ?
very cool video how and why do you choose the type of mesh screen? i heard you say "its black ink so ill use a 200 mesh screen".
which software do you use
Were you printing with water based ink or plastisol? Thanks! :)
which colours ur using ?
I noticed after you did the emulsion you washed the screen off in the light, a lot of other sites/videos say that you should do this while still in a dark room... is that not the case? I am new at this and want to make sure I don't ruin a screen or make any mistakes. Thanks!

It depends on the nature of the job, spot colour artwork without fine detail isn't affected as much as halftone artwork
when we print film positives we put alignment guides on our film. It make registering the film onto the platen easier and for the burning also
Could u send a link where u can buy all the objects needed
I Lov simple instructions not to much talking. Great Job definitely will b paying attn to Ur Video's
Is that light or heat that you use to partially cure the ink?
What program is that you are using in the beginning? Is it affordable?
@fourambition I've tryed and cant get it lined up what is the trick to it i would really appreciate any tips thanks in advance for your help
Thank you for the video. It was really informative.

The prepared screens are done beforehand and kept in that dark room. That is called photo emulsion.
completely forgot about spot colour... so are these in vector?
Great demonstration
Brilliant video. Have just ordered a nice starter kit, and this video really helps. Thank you!

Nice video! Thanks for sharing.
How do you match the colors? I mean how do you set up the tables that they are perfectly matched?
This video is the most helpful I've found after days of searching, few questions bro, I really don't know much of this so Im probably going to sound stupid. The screen you use, it looks like just a frame and glass, also has a green material over it or idk if thats just the color of the glass/screen. My question is where do I obtain one of those, do they sell the frame complete or I have to build it up and find the green screen. Cause I know that the green thing some sort of film right?. but how exactly is it called, also about the printer you used to print the images, can I have the name of it or how should I ask for one of those at a store?. Plz help me out. Amazing video btw.
How sir,I want how correct percentage to mix white rubber and clear rubber dye
How do you make your logo/image you want on ya shirt on computer? i really need to know how to do it instead of stealing others ics and things like that
Registration points.....makes life as a screen printer/color separation artist much much much easier.
Thank you very much that's great. Hope to see more like so.
Awesome video! Thank you!
How far is your screen from the shirt when set it?
