    Hi. I have an HP Officejet Pro 9025e which is a model that has a document feeder that is capable of automatically scanning both sides of a document without having to refeed the pages manually whereas the one you are showing in the video is an 8030 series which may not have an auto-duplex ADF. My computer is currently running on Windows 10 and the HP Smart app does have the option on Windows 10 for auto duplex scanning without having to manually turn the pages over. However, I read a comment on an HP support that when they upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11, that the "2-sided" button on the hp scan feature was no longer there in the HP Smart App for Windows 11. Please tell me that HP did not intend to remove "2-sided" button in the HP Smart app for Windows 11. Also, I read other comments where you sent them a link with information documents on how to scan using the Smart App and I didn't find those sources helpful at all. Thanks!

    Hi. Thanks for the reply. My printer has no issues printing on both sides. My concern is with scanning. As I mentioned, the model that I have (HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e) is capable of automatically scanning both sides of a page without having to manually flip it over. However, I know that while a computer running on Windows 10 supports the fully automatic double-sided scanning option using the HP Smart Application with a compatible printer like mine, some devices, such as smartphones and tablets don't support that option. My only question for right now is, if the HP Smart app for Windows 11 supports the fully automatic scanning option for a compatible printer or if I have to flip the original documents over manually on Windows 11. Thanks!

    Hi again, I just called HP and my questions were finally answered. They told me that the auto 2-sided button on the HP Smart app was intended to work with Windows 11, so it might be an issue with Windows 11 itself. Windows 11 did say they are fully addressing some issues with the new system and working on them.

    Hello HP Support, I downloaded this program onto my Mac and used it to scan some documents and photos and it worked great. Now however when I want to print just any old document and want it in black and white only, that preference has disappeared and I cannot find how to get it back. The printer works fine and tests fine, but no option available for just black and white. I did look on your website for help and could not find a solution. I am not a business owner so I don’t find a way to get personal help like I did back when I purchased the laser printer.

    Hello Support @@HPSupport the problem is that I do not get the option like what is showing on your link. I see first line: Printer. HP LaerJet 200 color MFp etc. Second line Presets: Default Settings.. Third Line Copies, 4th line pages. then Paper size, Then orientation the pages per sheet then layout direction then Border the Two-sided which is greyed out with no option to use. I would like to send you a screen shot if that would help but I cannot get one to attach this note. I have tried sending an email to @HPSupport which does show the screen shot of what I get.

    I purchased this device and am trying to using it. What an overall drama to even get it working. The software in this video differs considerably from the software I have on my screen. I would like to scan multiple pages. According to your video, this has to be done one page at a time. Why does this machine have an automatic paper feed if scanning cannot be done automatically? I often have stacks of paper to scan and I don't feel like doing this one sheet at a time. Does the automatic paper feed also work on the scanner?

    When I try to scan, the source (scanner glass) is grey and I can't change it. When I click on scan, it doesnt work and I receive a message saying theres a problem with the scanner. Please help.

    how can I scan my documents if the hp scan and capture is no longer available in microsoft store? also, everytime I try to scan it says Scan canceled. Scanning was canceled from the scanner.

    Thanks for getting back to us, To copy from an Android or iOS device 1. Open the HP Smart app. 2. Tap the Plus icon if you need to change to a different printer, or add a new printer. 3. Tap Copy. The built-in camera will open. 4. Put a document or photo in front of the camera, select a size option to help identifying the size of the original, and then tap the round button at the bottom of the screen to take a picture. TIP: For the best result, adjust the camera position to place the original within the provided frame on the preview screen. 5. Set the number of copies or make other adjustments if necessary: ● Tap the Add Pages icon to add more documents or photos. ● Tap the Delete icon to remove documents or photos. ● Tap Resize to adjust how to fill the original to the paper. 6. Tap Start Black or Start Color to make a copy. To scan from an Android or iOS device 1. Open the HP Smart app. 2. Tap the Plus icon if you need to change to a different printer, or add a new printer. 3. Select a scan option, and then tap Camera. The built-in camera will open. Scan your photo or document using the camera. 4. When you have finished adjusting the scanned document or photo, save, share, or print it Please try updating the printer firmware and make sure it's on the latest version.     Hi there, thanks for contacting HP Global Social Media Support! I understand that you are not happy with your printer as you need to create an account for scanning. I will do my best to assist you. Yes, you are correct: To use the HP Smart application - at this time and for several versions since late 2020 - you must sign into the application using your HP Account. HP Smart is not mandatory software. There are other options - each one provides a scan service that does not require that you sign in. If you are using a computer, install your printer's Full Feature Software (full driver) using the Easy Start wrapper. After the software is installed, the full driver (printer software) includes HP Scan. You can also use below applications: 1) HP Scan and Capture: Microsoft Store (formally Windows Store) - Requires Windows 8 or higher Download-Save-Install HP Scan and Capture HP Scan and Capture is a simple and fun application that captures photos or documents from any* HP scanning device or your computer's built-in camera. These images can be previewed, edited, saved, and shared to other applications. * NOTE: The correct HP drivers for your scanner must be installed from HP's Support Website. 2) Windows Scan - Microsoft Store (formally Windows Store) - Requires Windows 8 or higher “Get” the application from the Store > Windows Scan 3) Paint (mspaint) Open Paint Expand the “white background” area to a size to accommodate your data. If unknown, try 1300x1300 File > Select “From Scanner or Camera” Select your printer > Follow the prompts to scan and then save your item Regards, HP Support

    It is a shame that you need to re-order the pages. This is not that easy when you are doing large documents. USed to be able to do it before they upgraded the software and now using HP Smart. It has gone backward.

    This scanning software gets the jobs done, but the editing lacks when it comes to darkening text. This is the first printer I've not been able to darken just the text. When editing, It want's to darken the entire document vs just the text like other printers. HP really dropped the ball on this one.

    Thanks for the reply. Update the printer firmware Here are the steps:- Click here: splr.io/6054caPuo Update your phone Android OS. Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi. Open Settings. Select About Phone. Tap Check for Updates. If an update is available, an Update button will appear. Tap it. Install. Depending on the OS, you'll see Install Now, Reboot and install, or Install System Software. Tap it. I hope that helps. Regards, HP Support

    For those of you wondering if fully automatic double-sided scanning works on the HP Smart app in Windows 11, after plenty of unsuccessful internet searches, I finally phoned the company itself with my inquiries as I had the same concerns myself and they told me that the fully automatic double-sided scanning using the HP Smart app is designed to be usable for all Windows Computer operating systems, including Windows 11 (meaning the printer will scan both sides simultaneously without the need to manually flip the pages over). I should mention, however, that will only work with an HP printer model that already has an ADF that automatically scans both sides of a page such as the OfficeJet Pro 9025e. The printer in this video appears to be a model with an ADF that is only capable of scanning one-sided. With that said, I did read some posts on the HP website that did say the fully-automatic double-sided scanning feature wasn't available on the HP Smart app on Windows 11. However, I also read that Windows is adressing and fixing some bugs with the Windows 11 operating system, so if you aren't able to use the double-sided scanning feature on Windows 11, it may be an issue with the new Windows OS and not with HP and chances are as the issues are fixed, that option will eventually be available again. Hope that helps.

    ich verfluche dieses Update, seitdem funktioniert nichts mehr...... wenn man ein funktionierendes Produkt nutzen möchte, empfehle ich Kyocera oder Brother.     DO NOT TRY TO SCAN ANYTHING WITH THIS TERRIBLE PRINTER!!! It takes over 60 seconds to scan a single page, and sometimes you have to scan twice. And then you have to scan twice to apply your settings. A 14 page document took nearly an hour to scan.
