    Great video. If you saw cut, and set your expansion joints, say, in a six-foot wide square pattern, how deep should the saw cuts be to prevent cracking (where you don't want cracking)? I like the clean and neat cut, versus the usual unsightly joints, but worried about cracking. Thanks!

    Really enjoy watching your videos. I’m a DIY and recently poured a slab and noticed water pooling and was wondering if relief cuts can help with drainage? I tried sloping Slab from building out to a planter but noticed a puddle.

    Thanks for the video, I always wondered how u guys did ur joints. Also, do u go back and finish the joint with a grinder up against the house?? And also, what if u don't add the fiber, do u have to wait an extra day or two to saw cut??

  • @OdellCompleteConcrete

    R&S Services yes a right angle grinder 4 inch diamond blade. yes waiting extra day will help on the chipping, but it may have already cracked.

    As always excellent video! How do you determine the dimensions of the 45 degree layout? You mention you started each square at 4'6". How did you come up with that?

    If you did a 1/8th inch resurfacing instead of a rip and replace of the slab, could you still do a 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch daimond-cut pattern saw cut on the existing concrete? I want to cover up some shrinkage cracks but also want to make it look nice while I'm at it.

    @OdellCompleteConcrete

    Yes you can, but the cracks may reflect through the coating within a year.

    Sergio Mercado you should continue the cuts through on every other one. as shown on my other videos. I forgot to cut through the band on this one. Thanks for bringing that to my attention

    cbsgirly2 it seems every blade manufacturer, seems to have a niche in a certain application, whether they know it or not. I've went through many blades from different places and I found the least expensive ones are best. I get them at home depot or lowes or any big name supplier
