If your cake won’t come out, destroy it and make something new. (cake pops) If you over bake cookies? Destroy them too and make it into a pie crust. (Chocolate pudding pie) If you under fill cupcake/muffin liners? Instead of eating a cupcake EAT THREE with a crap load of frosting. (cupcake parfait) If you over-fill a cupcake/muffin liner, destroy it and put it in a mason jar with a crap ton of frosting (cupcake parfait). If you crack a cheesecake, add sour cream topping to hide it. So in closing, you can fix a cracked cheesecake but everything else you must destroy.

The only people I expect to make perfect desserts all the time are trained or professional pastry chefs and bakers. Home baking is meant to look.... homemade. People expect their desserts to look either like professionals or factory made ones and forget that its unattainable for the average person to do that without y e a r s of practicing. If it tastes good and is close enough to what I wanted, it’s a win.

I finally managed to make a cheesecake without cracking it this past Christmas. I was apparently overbaking mine. My recipe said to bake for an hour at 325 then leave it in the oven to cool off slowly. I turned off the oven after about 40-45 minutes and still left it in the oven to cool. No cracks at all. Other stuff factors in also, like over mixing, not greasing the pan thoroughly, the kind of pan you use, etc. It's all experimentation. Hope this helped. Good luck with your next cheesecake 😀👍

There’s another way to fix it, first use a knife to cut the cake from the sides, and use a spatula to free the cake from under. Use another knife to cut off the curves and turn it into a square, nobody will know

I think the reason they made this video was in case your baking for guests/ visitors and you fail so you can make it look like you didn’t fail and it can look pretty So you might wanna stop the hate comments:) And also if your not baking for guests mhm just eat them

fight me, i argue that tasty overestimates my patience and that I would rather eat my messed up stuff as it is than put more effort into it. cheesecake is cheesecake, I don't care if it doesn't look like out of a gotdamn stock photo. i mean kudos to you if you'd do a whole new fricken cake instead of just jamming as many overbaked cookies down your throat as possible bc of cravings, but i, realistically, wouldn't.

Tasty uses "diverse" hands and meals, which slightly pisses me off. It's just another BuzzFeed company, trying to push it's Globalist agenda on us while cashing in. Also, who cares if cookies are hard, they taste good. Who cares if a cupcake is overfilled, just eat it. God, this video triggered me more than it should have.

Jesus if I want to make a cake for my family with perfect slices and it's messed up this video is very useful just because you don't give a f*ck if some of your cookie is overcooked doesn't mean everyone will feel this way. For overbaked cookies just put them in a bag with a few slices of bread, and the moisture of the bread will transfer to the cookies. That's what I always do and works great.

Perfectly good cake that you wanted wont come out of the pan? Frickin destroy it. And make it into something else, that's not a cake Overbaked cookies? Blend them into a cake. Have you ever thought that maybe the person would still like to have what they wanted to bake in the first place?

For the cookies, you can put then in a container with a couple slices of bread and that'll soften them

Joel Lloyd now that I will try, I am not trying to spend the entire day in the kitchen, baking and failing and then having to make an entirely new bake!!!!

Cheesecake: just eat it. Not coming cake: Just eat it Cookies: just dip it in milk longer. Cupcakes: JUST. EAT. IT

I didn’t know that hard cookies meant they were over baked.... In that case, I need to set a smaller timer
