Maybe because while well edited and superbly narrated, it's not that meaningful. If you think this is the most amazing and inspiring thing on youtube just look around more. For personal reasons I've been watching tons of content on the topic of "afforestation" in the past days and I can tell you it's rather easy to find videos with far more powerful and inspiring messages that "We should care about trees". For example videos of people who are already working to be part of the solution and actually getting results in the process. At times even results that are economically viable for them and on a large scale, which is the ideal scenarios we should strive for, since not everyone is a philanthropist millionaire who can just drop family and job to be the environmentalist hero.

Add CO2 to the atmosphere. Current 400 ppm is far below the tree/plant requirement of 1500 ppm for optimum growth triple what we see today. The 250 ppm utopia the climate change religion seeks is just above the 150 ppm where plant growth stops..

This video is on my bucket list I want to do. I want to add: We should have a tax on all human life. We each for every day that we live have to plant/fund 1 tree. That's 365 trees a year/person. I think we can all afford that. And we should have Earth Week, not just a day, where we shut down everything, and gather to clean and rebuild our local environments. This week could be different for different parts of the World as it would have to be planned for the best time for that area. Imagine a near military organized holiday where we fix our planet. Imagine what positive effects that would have for everyone and thing living on this small rock we call Earth.

0:38 That's exactly what I had in my quarter-acre unkempt yard....five years later they were trees taller than my house. Elm, ash, white oak, sumac, and black walnut. Going on 10 years now, some of these trees are about 50 feet tall! My house is cooler in summer and my basement leaks less when it rains. Fancy migrant birds visit my trees in spring. Their beauty and elegance makes me smile whenever I look at them. All thanks to my failure to mow a shabby lawn.

Have you planted a tree or two this year in your yard or local park? It’s a great way to start and be a positive influence too. In a park walking distance from our house I’ve planted over 100 native plants and trees. They’ve mostly come from our native plantings at our house. It’s so fun to share from the abundance and neighbors love it too and are now changing their yards and also contributing to the park. Maybe we can change the world one plant/tree at a time.

Like in canada we get droughts on the west coast now and other provinces in the centre of canada. We have had wild fires, floods, and wind storms. To combat these issues we will need some sort of broad genetic diversity to protect species. Gmo's are often sterile and do not produce seed. They have the same genes so they cannot bring new advantages to the plants evolution. We will always need organic plants and potentially gmo's. Its about balance.

This video made me cry. I grew up in a forest and a forest feels like our ancestral and it hurts both physically and emotionally to see us humans as a species destroy our home. We must protect the forests. There should be very severe punishments for destroying forests.

JUST came across it and LOVE IT! And THAT voice! Can't imagine anyone else narrating nature films but Sir D Attenborough! People are changing! In the last 20 years there is less tolerance for destruction, more conservation more rewilding...there is hope we can and will fix the damage done to our planet...PLEASE anyone out there who can afford it go and "buy" and protect few acres of Indonesian rainforest...BOSS and other Orangutan foundations have that option...:-)..if we do not lease and protect those rain forests oil magnets will destroy them....

Yes please. Planting trees, making the economy more sustainable, so that we do not have to throw away our lifestyle (sorry to break it, but that probably won't happen, unless we are 1 week before doom), making construction, transportation, and farming more sustainable (looking forward to AI based farming, which has more efficiency, maybe paired with vertical farming as well). I use Ecosia, and plan to donate to Mossy Earth. I like that the team behind Ecosia is making their finances public and shows the progress and impact of their supported projects - changing lives and the environment. And the team behind mossy earth, that are also planting trees, rehabilitate wildlife, habitat and go on with a holistic approach. It is so surprising, that moors for example help so much for wildlife AND Co2 binding, that it should probably be more frequent. We can't vhange the world today but we can do it, together, step by step. Planting native trees and making a good forestry is on good step.
