So I am a Christian, social worker and Bride. But I have pass experence with catering events. I believe all this combined help ground me and I am only 2 months away from my dream wedding and glad to say I did most of the things you stated here. I did not realize until now that taking an Instagram break really will help keep me away from comparison and distractions that may cause us to over spend last minute. Thanks for that tip! I will start applying that soon.

Ours was really successful! It was a fun time to gather both sides of our extended families and friends before the wedding, since many hadn’t met yet.

Yes! Literally a life saver. I had a day of coordinador, but I did 90% of the planning solo with her course.

Thanks for the great video! Are the center pieces in the thumbnail the ones you used for your wedding? If so, where did you get them? I have been looking for something similar.

Hey Prisca! The fresh florals with the pampas grass in the thumbnail were from a florist. My center pieces were amber vases from Hobby Lobby and pampas grass from Etsy and these were DIY.

Omgosh, my fiancé and I just got engaged in June of this year, 2023 and it has been great basking in that. Now it is time to start planning. We are looking to get married next year in October 2024 and I have not done anything 😂. I need help! Even though it is a year out.

Congrats on your engagement! I think you have plenty of time to plan but definitely book your key vendors early. We planned everything in about 6 months, but it was a very small wedding.

Congrats on your engagement!! About 75. In hindsight we would have invited more as we had a handful of no shows/cancellations and weren’t able to fill all the spots.

In February will be a yr since getting married but we went to the courthouse...and now we want to do a small wedding style reception on a boat I wanted to ask you do you think next February should be an ideal date or should we just do the reception on either one of our birthdays his is May which will be crunch time and mine is October which will be a later time

May is peak wedding season so things may cost more, but generally the weather is better in May in most places. If you say “wedding” the cost goes up as well lol

Why not just do a civil ceremony? You can spend the money on a renewing your vows thing ten years from now.
