You won't. I just wasted 4 hours try to setup a test node on a raspbian vm. The problem is you have to use linux, & linux is trash. I've been using computers since I was 4 & I can't wrap my head around this ridiculously complicated operating system. So many errors, no good beginner guides to linux, & an entire community which uses the command line as a crutch to their garbage user interface. I don't want to touch linux again for another 4 months until I end up inevitability giving it another chance only to get pissed again. I bet tons of people want to do this, but they won't because the process is impossible unless you're an advanced linux user.

Tor's uptime is 1 day 18:00 hours, with 1635 circuits open. I've sent 44.03 GB and received 43.47 GB. I've received 23182 connections on IPv4 and 4404 on IPv6. If i had 4 relays going..would you put all the family keys into each file for each separate relay you are running..example would be running 4 individual rasp pi 4's

Should I be concerned about NAT when setting up a tor relay?

You'll have to port forward (if you have a router at home which your PC goes through, for example). The configuration is different for each router so you'll have to search online how to do it for your specific router.

If you can accept incoming connections in some way, then no problems. If not, then you can't run relay.

has anyone made a docker container for Tor? i think it would be way easier if you can just deploy a container and do nothing

Do you need to open up port 9001 to the world? IE... port forward from your ISP router/gateway? Or is the link established as an outbound connection??

Yes, you need to have public IP. No incoming connections -> no relay.

If I run a few of these, can I always use one of my own nodes as a first node in the chain? That sounds like a fairly good way to somewhat hide yourself from a KAT17 type of attack, unless I am missing something ofc.

Yes, you can, but, of course, you will need to change configs of your Tor clients.
