Quick question: do these in feed ads work well to sell stuff? (get email leads, sell a low ticket item, or do affiliate marketing with, etc) Or are these just good for subscribers and growing a channel??

Hey Aleric/team! Great vid, thanks. Couple of questions related to seeing different things in my accounts (maybe the old view): 1. Do you know how to get the new settings onto your accounts? Or alternatively, what did you used to do with the old settings to grow your channels? Specifically, my accounts are still showing these old options: - I don't have the "Multi-format ads" option to untick, which means these will also be shown as in-stream etc which can hurt the channel. The route I've used before is using an unlisted vid, but your new method looks much better - Awareness and consideration is called Brand awareness and reach (not sure if that matters) - There's no "video views" selection, only "Video reach" 2. There's an option I have that you didn't (under networks): Google TV. Have you tested this? What do you think for this network for growing a channel? Appreciate any insights you guys can share!

Hi, Aleric thank you for this amazing tutorial! Ive been struggling.. it seems that i only get views on my videos when i do a promotion, so I think I ruined my channels organic growth. Even to a point where i was thinking about restarting my channel. Im going to use this "in-feed Ads" method but also do you please have any advice for me? Is my channel really ruined like i believe? Hey Aleric, what are the troubleshooting steps if you don't get any impressions on an in-feed ad? I've tried adding larger channels for placements (1m+) and also tried no targeting. I also upped the budget to $1 per view. Could it be my bids still aren't high enough?

Hey Roman, happy to help with a few trouble shooting tips/strategies: - Check that Ads are Approved to Run (this is most common issue for no impressions) - can take 1-2 days on new accounts - if this is the issue then reach out to support via chat, they're much more helpful than FB support to get things approved if needed - Placements can be tougher to get more traction/scale, I'd recommend also looking at Keyword Content Targeting and building Audience Segments (also ensure these aren't layered together because that could make it too narrow) - Check the TCPV - although sounds like you've already done that, you shouldn't need to go higher than $1 unless you're in a very specific niche -- also don't try to just target computers, those can have high TCPV on their own Those are a few key things to try -- also another method is to go through the training again and ensure not to miss any steps, hope that helps!

I have good videos over a year old is it worth running a campaign on these? I will start with newer videos, but I’d like to get older ones exposure as well, thoughts?

Great question, yes you can do this with older videos as well to help revive them! I'd take a look at which videos have the best watch time retention & focus on those for channel growth

How many real people actually wind up leaving comments though? How do you know it’s not 80 percent bots??

Glad to help! It's going to depend on the targeting & who you're looking to reach, since different audiences, countries, targeting etc will cost a different amount per view. That said you actually get to bid CPV on your campaigns inside of the ads platform. For example in this video we had a $0.11 bid per view - which would result in around 900-1000 views in that case. (but it may be more since the bid is the maximum & real CPV may be lower)

I don't have an option to put a landing page link for In Feed YT ad. I can just put a link to my you tube ad creative, but not the actual landing page. Why is that?

In Feed ads will go to the KZread video watch page vs. In Stream (VAC) ads that go to a specific landing page. These types of ads are more for growing your channel

That's a great questions @coursecreatorsHQ & happy to provide context here! There are actually 2 different type of KZread Ads - In-Stream Ads when run on Public videos can potentially harm organic reach, that said these types of ads "In-Feed" can help organic reach when setup the right way. Here's a quick Breakdown I shared recently: VAC (Video Action Campaign) KZread Ads run as mostly “In-Stream” Ads on KZread - these ads appear in front of other KZread Videos & are skippable after 5 seconds. These are also the “Classic” type of ad you probably think about when I say “KZread Ads” These In-Stream & VAC style ads are great for driving Direct Response Conversions on sites off of KZread. For instance driving traffic to a Lead Magnet, Webinar, Training or even a Product directly. That said, these types of ads are actually bad for scaling a KZread Channel & in fact, when used incorrectly, can actually harm the growth of a KZread Channel. That’s because one of the super-powers of In-Stream ads is also it’s downfall for channel growth - the ability to skip the ad after 5 seconds. The issue is if you have this type of skippi g happening on a public KZread Video it can actually Harm your channel’s average Watch Time - which is one of KZread’s most important Metrics! That’s why we always recommend to run a Classic In-Stream KZread Ad as an Unlisted Video - so it doesn’t harm your channel’s watch time & stats. ^ This is also why KZread Ads get a bad wrap from a lot of the Organic KZread Experts out there - this is the only type of ad they know & they’re afraid of it’s ability to harm watch time. That said, there is another type of KZread Ad - one that is designed to help GROW a KZread Channel & actually simulate someone naturally finding a KZread Video on their own (but as a Sponsored Ad). And that Ad Type Is: “In-Feed” KZread Ads - These are ads that appear in KZread Search Results & alongside other KZread videos as “Suggested Videos” - and then when people click the ad they go to the Video Watch Page as they would had they just discovered the KZread video organically This type of ad allows you to get your KZread Videos to the Top of the Search Results & as a Top Recommended Video - and when done the right way this type of ad can dramatically Increase your Channel Viewership, Subscribers & Growth! What we’ve found is these types of ads, when setup correctly not only directly drive more viewership & subscribers to your channel, but they can also Increase your Video & Channel’s Watch Time which can help your channel increase it’s Organic Reach as well! Essentially putting Fuel on the Fire of your KZread Channel!

Also worth noting is that there is a smaller market for people looking to learn ads than other more mass-market topics. We use these strategies on this channel as well, but more specifically to reach marketers & business owners.
