Great video as usual Dane. We used to use extrusions that had 5 thou' fluted bond lines to provide for an adhesive allowance, and "scrim" cloth between plane mating surfaces for the same reason which also had to have an adhesive allowance. I love watching your videos- it's like being there in the 'shop with you. Cheers Bud.

Thanks very much Steve. Yep the glue has to have somewhere to go. I'v proven this with cabinet frames and cracked rail from too much glue in a dowel pin hole. Only took one time to learn my lesson. We'd have a lot of fun hanging out in the shop together.

very good tedious work Dane! I use a string and laser level too when setting a neck and lining it up, works like a charm!

Thanks Randy! One day I might get a neck setting jig. Would speed up the process on bth electric and acoustic guitars. But really how fast do I need to go?

If you taper it from the notch to nothing at the back that will give you the 5/8ths? The 3/8ths popping up confused me lol.

If I cut parallel that shy 1/8" it would have given me less clearance at the bridge. Dropping the neck straight down with no angle. Thanks Neil.
