Great video as usual Dane. We used to use extrusions that had 5 thou' fluted bond lines to provide for an adhesive allowance, and "scrim" cloth between plane mating surfaces for the same reason which also had to have an adhesive allowance. I love watching your videos- it's like being there in the 'shop with you. Cheers Bud.

Thanks very much Steve. Yep the glue has to have somewhere to go. I'v proven this with cabinet frames and cracked rail from too much glue in a dowel pin hole. Only took one time to learn my lesson. We'd have a lot of fun hanging out in the shop together.
Very nice Dane! Good vid!

You bet W! you have a great one too.
very good tedious work Dane! I use a string and laser level too when setting a neck and lining it up, works like a charm!

Thanks Randy! One day I might get a neck setting jig. Would speed up the process on bth electric and acoustic guitars. But really how fast do I need to go?
Looking really good Dane. Lots of LP jrs in the works right now! :)

That's right Bill and the three I know about are all going for TV yellow. Don't know if you ever saw my skull fabric top PLJ, it's on my Chanel. Thanks for watching my friend.

@@jonahguitarguy Yeah, I watched to one with the fabric top. That was a super nice guitar. I will be doing final set up on my TV Yellow LP Jr this week and hope to have the final video posted within the next couple weeks.

@@billsguitargarage, I'll be watching Bill!
If you taper it from the notch to nothing at the back that will give you the 5/8ths? The 3/8ths popping up confused me lol.

If I cut parallel that shy 1/8" it would have given me less clearance at the bridge. Dropping the neck straight down with no angle. Thanks Neil.

@@jonahguitarguy yeh but I knew you meant to taper it like you said on screen. I often wonder what I was on about when editing my vids lol
