You are really good and thorough! I do fig pops because they take up a lot less space. If sharpie size, I use ziplock snack size, and a lot of cuttings can be put in your bin. With your parafilm wrapped figs, I don't think you need to worry about humidity as that is the purpose of the tape. I uppot from snack size to the clear quart container and then to 3 gal or 5 gal. Just different was of doing things.. I really enjoyed your instructive video... where did you suggest getting good cuttings?

i agree, im using smaller grow bags that take less space, but i have to give it a try to the fig pops, and yes if you use the tape humidity is not that important, i use the lid so the soil doesn't dry too fast, i buy them from fig big and profigusa.com, thank for the feedback!

@@sweetfigs1 the figpops don't dry out because they don't have an open top so the mix is not exposed to air but enclosed in plastic.. The top of the cutting sticking out is protected from drying out by the parafilm... hence, no need for the top cover and high humidity with the problems that brings. When the leaves pop out, they get used to lower humidity and do not need hardened off later. When lots of roots are growing and leaves are growing, if I see them getting dry, I simple snip off a little of the corners of the pops and set them in a container with 1/4" of water or so and it soaks up from the bottom... just don't put enough to make it too wet. Again, you are doing good work and are a good teacher.
