I love these tips! This is exactly what I have been struggling with. Am gonna try to save this video to keep as tutorial, the flat roof pieces, I never thought of using as end pieces I am sooo doing that going forward. Thank you for posting these tips Kayla.

i knew about build ceiling tool and copy roof pieces but i could never figure out how to do a good roof for the wrap around porch, what roof shape to use or that i needed to copy and rotate for the wrap around! And that’s so useful about the end piece covering! Thank you so much!!! Very helpful, now my porch roofs won’t look horrendous! TY!!!!!

I must have seen Kayla build roofs a million times but I still can't get my head around it. My Sims houses always have crazy looking roofs. Thanks for trying though, Kayla

Simsie I need help, no matter what angle I make my roofs I can never get half gabled roofs to blend in with half hipped roofs, I change the angle up one notch it's too steep I pull it down one notch it's to shallow. I've tried other tips and tricks before and they always work so I don't understand why something as seemingly simple as this doesn't 🤨

How did you get the columns to the edge of the porch? Mine always go on the ground or half a square back

Couldnt you also just use those roof pieces you put on the ends for those sides and only that one piece for the long wall?
