You twist the hose half a turn every loop and will create tangles, especially for long hoses. If you coil it in a figure of eight it will not cause any rotation in the line.

I'm grateful for my father but whenever I can't do thing he would just goes like "You can't even do this, you can't even do that" and stuff. So sometimes I just gotta search stuff myself.

Twist chains when trailering if they’re too long and hang low dragging on the road the road. Twisting the chains a bit will shorten the length so they aren’t dragging while trailering with a hitch

That's one way but it's not the right way, and it's not even the best way. As others have mentioned when he grabs the end of that hose and walks away with it it's going to twist and kink severely.
