    Shikhar Yadav keep it orthodox specially since you just starting easier to learn because most coaches teach this style . Idk you age tho . Drilling will help you foot work . Focus on foot work drills(pivots, angles, side steps, pendulum step, shuffles etc ... focus on making moving around in ever direction something you can don fluidly . Then add the upper body movements they are easier to learn .

  • @Cerdon3

    Shikhar Yadav focus on one technique or movement each week.. after your warm up jump rope for a few rounds then work that technique slow for 4 or5 rounds do that for a week str8 by the end of the week it should become easier to do . Then the following week cut that technique bac to 1 maybe two drills a workout and focus on something else for 4 to 5 rounds .

    You've probably gotten it figured out by now as it's been four years, but keep in mind Mike Tyson was *really* short compared to most of his opponents. In-fighting is the most recommended for short fighters, my advice is to practice fighting on the inside, learning how to control the distance and improve your defense (defense as in blocking, smothering and dodging).

    You can perform a shift into a southpaw position like Mike Tyson use to do. I would not advise it but I could make a video on shifting in future, so stay tuned!

    Bro leave the shoulder roll alone. Most people get their ass beat trying to use the shoulder roll thinking they're Floyd. That might work with inexperienced fighters in a gym but It's an easy defense to crack if one haven't been using it since birth.

  • @MorenoBoxing

    @MorenoBoxing

    JO JO i see what you're saying but I don't subscribe to your viewpoint. I don't believe a fighter should have only one guard, a guard should be fluid and adaptable. Shoulder roll is just one guard and I'm find of it. When I fight I don't have a preference force by guard.

  • @BKP.1

    @BKP.1

    No doubt, brother, but I didn't say that fighters should have only one guard. I simply stated that the shoulder roll is an unbelievably easy defense to get through. I've used it on occasion but just bs'ing in the gym. Being in that shell makes most boxers an easy target. Most of the fighters I see trying to switch to the shoulder roll defense in sparring or in actual fights get overwhelmed by their opponent when the punches start flying...and the opponents know that and take advantage of it. Just my personal observation. It's one thing to be well-versed in various defenses but in order to perfect that particular style, one would have to start from a very young age (other variables come into play, also, which I won't get into right now). It's possible to perfect it, as evidenced by Floyd but when was the last time you've seen someone successfully (and consistently) use it outside of him, Sr, or Toney? And don't say A.B. Great channel, btw. Keep up the good work, young bruh.
