I love the roll cast I use it most of the time
This is how I’ve been casting by where I live, there’s a grassy embakement behind me and regular casts just cause the hook to get stuck in the roots. Crazy that this is actually a common method

Watch your line movement when roll casting. As you raise the rod the line will move towards you. If you let the line stop then cast there's too much drag and it doesn't do so well. Cast before the line stops and that momentum will carry through the cast.

How does "nymphing" differ from just fly fishing? Does it mean a weightless fly?

@jackmorgan729 youtube flyfishing nymphing. Its too hard to explain in text. Essentially, it's a type of fly fishing that is productive year round. Other types would be, dry flies, streamers, hoppers/ terrestrials, hopper dropers...

You have to have an anchor
This is a bull whip cast, I have a bull whip because it's funny, and this is how people break skin. It generates a lot of power with a whip
Have used this cast when people are behind me
I don't think Indiana Jones fish in Raiders of the Lost Ark or any Indiana Jones movie
