And he was not only fast about it, he was accurate, too! With that kind of speed, he could have those walls rolled and completed, inside of 5-10 minutes, provided that he had already done his cut-work, which he had already done, of course. As we all know, the fastest part of any painting job is rolling the walls. Cut-work with a brush will cost you a good 45-60 minutes, unless you have a quicker way to do your cut-work. Same thing with workin' that trim-work. If you tape everything on your trim, that's gonna take at least half an hour to an hour, just to get things taped up. It's a long process, either way. Well, if you're gonna paint from start to finish, it's gonna be time-consuming, but if ya gots what it takes, then go for it! Wait 'til ya get that PAY, at the end. That makes it all worth your while!

Love it! The cut in around the trim is the time consuming part, I have a 20 year old Purdy brush just for that. Also, do you get a lot of spatter?? I would assume touch ups are normal, going that fast there's gonna be spatter on trim and ceiling, probably floors

If you're here in the states you can get an 18 inch roller setup at Lowes, Home Depot or any paint store like Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore. I would recommend going with the Purdy Colossal 3/4 inch knap. As it will hold a fair amount of paint.

@@paintman7709Personally, I like the Purdy line of products, such as rollers and paint brushes. Can't stand using a 9 inch roller anymore. They're way too time-consuming! Also: What kind of paint do you use, as it refers to either Satin or Eg-Shel? I personally prefer Eg-Shel. You get better coverage and distance from Eg-Shel, than you will with Flat. I hope I never have to use Flat again, except for inside the closet spaces here at the apartments that are already painted in Flat. Had to touch up in four closets, that were already painted in Flat...and used a roller in the process. None of the rooms took above 7-8 minutes. Only painted where needed, and WA-LA! Done!

OMG! What kind of paint, brand and sheen, did you use? It has so much coverage and without the need of frequent reload. And what is the roller's brand, width, and nap size?

He loads the roller up at the start, then zigzag's across the wall laying all the extra paint down, so that later when he comes back to that area there is a fresh supply of paint for the roller to pick up.

Looks like something of a Satin or Eg-Shel viscosity. I don't know if you could get Flat to do that. Eg-Shel is a better type of paint. It's stronger than Flat, and it definitely goes farther than Flat

You can use any roller see how he started the wall it allows the paint to stay wet every time he goes over it. So it allows him to paint the whole wall in one go

Exactly! 30 years of experience and I've never found white paint that could cover a coloured wall this good in one coat. And one dip of the roller? What kind of roller is he using. You could do a two bedroom house in half a shift at that rate.
