A great way to roleplay without intentionally playing unoptimally is to just use the ObfusCKate mod, which hides all info your character wouldn't realistically know and makes you focus on a much smaller pool of people. One Proud Bavarian did a video showing it, though it only works on the Vanilla map. Have you thought of making video or two using it?

That’s a pretty good idea. It looks intriguing but I’m already bad at the game so I’d have to mess around a bit to see if I COULD make a video haha.

Traits are important, but its vital to reinforce the idea that its about being creative. Its equally important to know when your character would take stress on too. Ate you trusting and honest? Okay do you lie to support people who you trust, or do you stop trusting people who lie to you? Roleplay is about using tags to create a character then play the character you made and not the tags. So often people use rp as an excuse to avoid hard choices Being an honest person who lies to his brother to save his relationship with his wayward son is more interesting because eating the stress proves that the choice was difficult and meaningful.

Great point. It’s not just about being the traits but also being a dynamic person who sometimes has to act against them.

I was playing as a welsh dynasty. After 3 generations of absolute garbage rulers (i roleplayed each as their traits dictated), we finally got a kind count who was a great steward. After 20-30 years reign, I finally got my county's making money. I throw a feast and literally choke to death. Gg. Moved on to his son.

Also, as a roleplay guid you could act in the interest of the culture your playing and their Real life goals, like the the French want to rule France, yes, but push further, put the king on of Italy under the French empire and directly border the pope in order to hold power over all Europe, also go for the African gold mines as colonies, there is so much more to do and it’s all different depending on the people you pick

10 months later, i have no idea if you are going to even care about this message anymore. But would you mind making one for roleplaying about the events? and how it should co-relate to your characters personality, traits, etc? because lets say that your character is decitful and evil, and you have a son that you are educating. An event pops up about what your son's traits should be, intelligent, honest, dectiful. What should I pick that could co-relate with what the character im playing be. I mean, i cant always just choose dectiful just because my characters is that. Or do I change it up a bit, sometimes evil, sometimes good? idk if this even made sense. Hopefully life is treating you well
