How To Ride Dubai Metro - Gold Souk To Dubai Mall Station
Today i want to show you how to ride dubai metro and i'm taking you from the Gold souk metro station in Deira, To The Dubai Mall Metro station in downtown Dubai.
I will show you how to buy a NOL Silver card from the station attendant and take you for a nice guided tour of the metro system in Dubai United Arab Emirates.
I'm also going to give some comments along the way of how i feel the Dubai Metro feels like as a first impression review compared to other metro systems in the world. This is a silent travel vlog and i do not speak in my videos. Enjoy!

Dubai metro bringing back all the amazing and refreshing memories of the UAE! I though it would be the best in the world, but currently living and working in Shenzhen China, the population of 17 million residents within the city, I have never experienced more spacious, advanced, futuristic metro system in the world. We only pay from our phones or our face to pass though the gates! If only Dubai metro can learn from Shenzhen metro to make more improvement, then it would be amazing. Dubai metro will be better soon!

I've not been to Shenzhen yet but i know the metro systems in asia is amazing. Tokyo also has a good system and connectivity is great. I feel Dubai needs to build more lines so you don't have to walk too far like it is now to your intended destination. I think it will be better over time as the system is pretty new. been to Tokyo? We don't have much good transport in Norway here in the countryside hehe.

@@Cybertokyofilms Yes, I read the Gold and Silver NOL cards... plus the prices varies in zones. Almost same in other countries, but this Dubai Metro have an amazing front carriage for view....

Sometimes Gold Class is at the rear but sometimes it is at the front, but also if you’re a man you cant go into the women section and if gold class is at the rear then women section will be at the front
Amazing Dubai Metro, clean, easy to use, like how stations are designed with safety glasses (definitely to avoid accidents of falling to tracks or suicide I guess) maps are important riding a metro or any subway lines in the world...Plan Ahead, know your destination, check the transfers, be smart & aware of your sorrounding, don't be afraid to ask. Thanks for posting this. Dubai is in my Top 10 bucket list to visit (when COVID-19 is gone), as I have relatives and friends there. Oh, 43 degrees C outside!!! Whew, hot hot hot.... you're right, more expansion required... its good walk for exercise, but not in 40+ degrees... plus of course for Senior Citizens. I noticed that trains are almost full, nowhere to seat. I wonder how often the train arrives, in a matter of 3 to 5 minutes (I hope, especially during rush hour)?

They arrive every 5 minutes and depart around 22-24 seconds Edit: I did a bit more research, and it turns out the train arrives in 3 minutes and 43 seconds during peak hours. And the most during non-peaks are 5-7 minutes. Trains also depart differently from train to train like a train departs from 20-26 seconds or another train can go from 20 seconds to 1 minute.

Really good video, but yes its not always the best trains, the place was really modern considering it only started its operation around 2009. For people who are wondering, trains arrive around 3-6 minutess (The lowest means that's the peak-hours) and can depart from 20 seconds to 1 minute. You should try different cart because they may have more seats to sit in the other tracks.

Thank you so much. Gopro have good 4k quality so glad you enjoyed it. You can buy single tickets. Gold is double the ticket price but you can use designated wagon on the train as I show at the first station in the floor markings. Silver can be used in silver car

Here is a clean, efficient subway system. I have no doubt that in 10 years, this system will expand throughout Dubai and remain clean and efficient. Meanwhile, back in the US, every major metropolitan subway/metro system looks like something from a horror movie. They are smelly, dirty, inefficient, and dangerous. These systems are so old and decrepit that the only thing to be done is to totally tear them down and rebuild, but you can't because so many people depend on them.

Yeah that's true. I've been to the NYC metro on a trip there and ungt was so old and disgusting. I've been to many metro systems in the world and us is far behind for sure.
At the ticket counter can i pay with credit card or just cash? For the nol card.

Passcode? It's not called that. It's a IC Card. You put money on it and every time you use it it deducts money for each ride.
