Man you explained exactly what I do to when I'm getting ready for big jumps, I basically say "we do dangerous things safely" I really like the way you explained this, Thank you!

Dude, thanks for confirming what I had just figured out yesterday. Dropped my stem one spacer. Rolled my bars almost in line with my stem. No more sketchy take-off on jumps and I find the sweet spot for wheelies. So nice when you get it right. 😊

Such an inspiring video and explanation, thanks for sharing your thoughts , it allowed me to relate to what I’m doing and also simplifying my analysis of riding new and challenging trails and jumps. I totally agree with you that it’s very much a mental game, as so much of life really is. The chimp paradox is in my Amazon basket right now. Cheers dude 🤜🤛

Brilliant insight of how your prepare yourself, the one thing that stuck in my mind is not to be scared or embarrassed to walk away, there's always another day! When your out with your mates its so easy to give into pier pressure, which can be painful and costly. 👍👍

Amazing vid! I was just think about a jump near my city in which I know I can do it, but is the first time hitting something that big (8m/26ft) and it was kind of pissing me of because I just want to have fun in it and improve as a rider. Thank you for the deep analogies and your perspective on these kinds of things, it will definitely help get me the courage send it!

very similar to the ideal Parkour mentality, where you have 2 circles, the outer one being your physical ability i.e. what you can do, and the inner being your mental limit i.e. what you will do, and through training the goal is to get both circles to allign so you can be sure of your ability when pushing to the max.

A very interesting and insightful young man . i say young because i'm old as fk (77) to be riding MTB. 😂 it's a very difficult thing to describe in words the subtleties of mind body coordination . only that person ' knows' what they are capable of at that moment as long as the mind isn't focused on doubt or fear which when present causes separation between the unity of mind and body . ive taught meditation since 1969 and during the process , as one's mental activity is reduced , there is a simultaneous decrease in breathing /respiration. the subjective experience is one of immense mental clarity along with a very calm physiology . if you can achieve even a semblance of that state prior to doing these big jumps you will immediately know if you can do the jump that day. ok,enough of old man ranting . if you are a commenter and or rider , it would do you no harm to ride with this guy . his presence will calm you down immediately . great video .👍👍👍
