After trying this RegBack folder was empty and my win 10 only got a blue screen with Chinese options, registry completely gone. Luckily I had a clean of my system, I took a winPE I had laying around and deleted the config folder and copy and pasted from the clone. I restarted and the system was back to normal. Frankly I have never gotten windows repair to work, especially since I have tons of 3rd party music software. As soon as I install other software, startup repair never works. Way to go Microsoft... technology saving you time by spending days trouble shooting, unfortunately in that department apple kicks ass, don't get me wrong their corporate practices these days are B.S.

I changed by boot drive letter in regedit to W from C after backing up regestry editor And when i restarted my pc it shows black screen after that 4 dots appear, i can also see my cursor moving but there is nothing i can do after... If they created while the system is healthy, the will help you to fix your issue. If you recently backed them after appearance your issue, they can not help you. See the date of their creation to see if they were created before or after the issue.

Well. I don't have any regback files because my version of windows didn't support it being enabled in the first place so this video is deemed useless for everything other than showing me how to see that I can't restore my PC or any of my things on it. Thanks I guess.

If system restore not worked, you can try system reset. If this appears after you have restored the registry files, then make sure their size is not equal to zero.

Which one you followed ? If you have renamed the original registry files inside Config folder, revert their names into original names as instructed on the video. If your issue is that your PC went to Safe Mode, execute this command: bcdedit /deletevalue {DEFAULT} safeboot

Try to enable Graphic driver from BIOS settings if disabled, or try to boot into safe mode then revert that change back.

@@ValiumMediaTech first thank you for the response, the problem began with srttrail.txt error and i followed your video where shows how to fix it with rebuilding BCD and it was successful. But when i continue, there was a new blue screen showing something like registry files are missing or corrupted. Then i tried this and discovered that i got no backup files of registry. Maybe resetting is the only way out of this.

If you mean if the system reset or system restore will restore Registry to in config to default, the answer is Yes for system reset, but system restore will replace the current registry with the backup copy from restore point that you will select. Also if you have an old restore point to a date that you were have a full backup copy of registry in the regback folder, then restoring to that restore point will bring you that copy of registry in the Regback folder But formating your disk will delete everything.

First I got this stop code 0xc000021a After that I tried everything. And my regback folder has zero files. Srttrail.txt shows Startup repair has tried several times but still cannot determine the cause of problem.Can you help please?

1- You can't rename registry files from running windows. 2- If you have more than one account, select one with administrator access. 3- If rename failed using commands, rename the registry files manually.

- You can't use another registry data rather than yours. - If you have a registry backup, you can restore them as instructed on the video. - If you are know what is the missing file, I can instruct you how to replace it. - If you have a valid restore point, it can help you fixing your issue.

If there is no another error message appear on the blue screen to tell you the exact problem, read the srtTrail.txt file by executing the following command and tell me the cause of your problem: Notepad C:\windows\system32\logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt

Execute the following commands to see if your disk and partitions are available but without assigned letters: DISKPART LIST DISK LIST VOL If the disk is shown,, that means the disk is either has no valid format or the partitions has no assigned letters. If your disk is not shown, that means the disk is either corrupted or is not connected firmly to it's socket on motherboard.

I think that is not enough size for all system sizes in windows 10. So you have too take a backup copy for old registry files in config folder before copying the backup copy from regback folder.

@@BgmiMhakaalgaming 1- If you mean the manual copy of registry files from RegBack folder to CONFIG folder, then try to copy them using CMD command as instructed on the video or vis versa. But before copying them, make sure to take a backup copy for the Registry files in CONFIG folder. 2- Review your command for typing errors. 3- Existence of REGBACK folder, doesn't mean that you have registry backup.

God windows 11 is fucking trash. all of a sudden got an automatic repair loop. regback is apparently not part of win11... apprently the cause of my issue is registry error. I was using my pc, went out to rn a quick errand, came back and everything was broken. Fuckin joke.
