    My black posts looked horrible after a few years on '99 Town Car. Bought the stainless steel covers and applied to the posts. Looked appropriate in 2001-2002 on Lincoln Town Car at that time period.

    I used VRP on my vehicle moldings since they are faded. After applying, they looked terrific but washed away after first wash. Will be trying this now

    Can’t that be defined as “trim” as well!? In which case-I’ve seen you use a shine for trim and tires (like on the outside of side mirrors) and now you’re using that blue coat?? Which one is best for trim??

    Hi there! Blue Guard is also a dressing and protectant that can be applied to trim and tires for a high gloss finish.

    Hey! Blue Guard is intended for exterior components. Use a water-based dressing such as VRP for interior components.

    From my experience, that kinda looks like a vinyl wrap trim piece from the factory. No amount of trim restore will bring it back. Literally needs to be re wrapped. Some times they're also painted matte black. Those are also impossible to restore.

    Even the vinyl wrapped ones come back very nicely with an ceramic coating. I have a bunch of cerakote trim wipes in my detailing bag and regularly use them for that. Results look meh the day of application, but settle nicely the following day and actually last.

    this product is more of a dressing. It'll be gone after a few washes. Cerakote trim wipes actually restore grayed trim to deep black color and actually lasts years instead of a few months.
